Thank you so much ! The left low beam is so easy to replace, a bit annoying having to do so much for just a bulb lol This helped me so much. I appreciate you.
Watching this video -- esp. the part about taking off the wheel -- discouraged me from attempting to replace low beam bulbs on my 2013 E350. However my local Mercedes dealer was very nice and replaced them for me just for the cost of the bulbs. So you may want to call your local dealer and describe the issue to them in a nice, calm demeanor.
I just turn the wheel hard right Popped 2 plastic rivets bent the plastic down enough to reach my hand in. Changed the bulb in 20 mins Cost me 20 bucks for the bulb And two rivets
You know that connector..”that bunch of stuff”, you zoomed right into...it pops right off, along with the price below it...takes 2min, replace the bulb, another 2min...lot less work, having a beer in between
You can handle them with latex gloves on. It is the oil from your skin that can cause them to burn out again quickly. Same thing can happen if you turn it on while the alcohol is still wet.
Thanks, for the instructions. I dropped the H7 lamp bulb down in the lamp unit. I left it there and got another bulb. Is it ok for it to stay there, I didn't have a flexible magnet stick to retrieve it
Annie Jackson you don't risk major damage. I would suggest removing it as it can damage the new bulb inserted. harbor freight has a cheap flex magnet or you can grab a rare Earth magnet at most big box hardware stores and put at the end of a coat hanger. hard drives also use rare Earth magnets if you happen to have one laying around.
I got 2011 MERCEDES-BENZ E350 CONVERTIBLE. Its take D1S 34w bulbs. This is the 6th yt vid saying its H7. Although my car is Australian. Yes we are weird.

Best video by far on a headlamp change on the w212. Clear, concise, yet covers all the important details.

Thanks I was getting ready to remove the bumper cover
You can move the purge valve and ac lines pretty easy, not having to mess with tire removal at home
True, but if you manage to damage those it is much worse than a simple tire removal.

Oh the mechanic wanted $95 to replace it even though i had supplied the bulb
Great tutorial. Thank you!

Thank you very much for this excellent video!
You can turn the wheel all the way in or out and skip having to take it off.
Thank you for the video but, the halogen bulb should never be touched ... If by accident, clean it with alcohol ...

What bulb did you use?
I don't recall. I was able to get the bulb at Advance Auto Parts.

Continuing from Annie, if it might harm the unit I will have it removed. Please let me know what you all think.

Mike Nelson Thanks, l will take care of it. I really appreciate the step by step instructions just didn't have the first bulb push all the way in😩.

17MM
