I have watched most of your food and drink shows, It makes me want to visit Japan. Your Country is so beautiful and full of wonderful and friendly people. I really want to visit soon. I am almost 65 years old and I feel your culture is so inspiring and honorable. I admire your Country's history, past and present it's so amazing
More than 6 years ago, my family and I visited the Nikka Whiskey Distillery Factory in Yoichi, Otaru, Hokkaido. It was fun and an insightful experience into the history of Nikka Japanese 🥃 production. Thanks Shizuka for your wonderful TH-cam video as usual ❤😊🥳
Welcome back shizuka hope you enjoyed your break, good too see you back, sounded like you had a cold coming on,hope thats not the case, take care team, another top show.
hope everyone's Holidays are going good, I do want to try that watermelon drink, the tour is cute but the bed head voice is even cuter, lol, hope you were able to enjoy and relax in the onsen
HELLO SHZUKA !!!!!!! NICE TO SEE YOU AGAIN!!!!!! GOOD MORNING JAPAN!!!! I LIKE ,I LOVE ALL YOUR VIDEO FOOD!!!!!!! THE LANSCAPEI IN ALL CITY OF JAPAN IS SO AMAZING!!!!!! MY NAME IS MIRCEA!!!!!!!! HAVE A NICE DAY FROM EUROPE!!!!!!!
It sounded like Shizuka had a bit of a cold in this video. If she did, I hope she gets better! And big props for the hard work and making this quality video!
Visiting Japan would be great. But, it would difficult to replicate the vibe without Shizuka’s warm personality present. I’m definitely going to see if Asaka distillery product are available in the US.
I think the whiskey made you lose your voice. Did you gargle it? hahaha, they say to swish the wine around to get the taste but my teeth are far to sensitive for it, especially white's. Well, anyway's. Cheers!@@JapanbyFood
I think your descriptions on this video about the processes and the science in the whisky and glass segments are a bit wanting and not on par with some of your other videos. For instance, in the whisky segment, malted barley (not wheat--it said so on the bag, I believe) has an acrospire which contains the enzymes to break starch down into fermentable sugars (first you make beer, then you make whisky from the beer). The glass segment was quite disjointed as we could not determine what kind of glass you started with, what you applied to it, and how the final design was obtained. Normally, glass etching is achieved with fluorine compounds, which are quite toxic and difficult to contain (they need to be stored in special wax-based containers), so I doubt that is the process you used.
After the nth glass of whiskey (correctly spelled with an e) Shizuka unexpectedly passed out, was taken away in a stretcher and was given mouth-to mouth resuscitation by a female EMT who also succumbed to her breath and required some urgent medical attention of her own!
The Japanese spelling is actually without the "e". It depends on the country of origin, and since Japanese whisky has its roots in Scotland where they write it without the "e", it follows the same concept.
@@KeshuThe origins of whiskey are from both Scotland and Ireland where it is spelled with an "e" however, my remark was purely sarcastic and not serious or educational.
Your own Japanese-Canadian blend....hmmmm, no symbolism there, huh? Was the taste your personality? What an interesting activity, almost like your recent sake video!
Compared to alot of irish and scotch whiskey's, japanese whiskey's available in the u.s doesn't fare to well. Not to say there are not a few respectable japanese whiskey's. Nikka Days and Togouchi Blended Whiskey are a couple of top performers. as you could taste, the longer a whiskey is aged, the smoother and more complex/tasty it becomes. And expensive lol. Love that coat, quite stylish!
Visited Nikka and Yamazaki Distillery...both were fun and worth a visit and not too far from city area
Yay! That's so cool, they are definitely worth trying!
I love French sushi and Spanish wasabi and Chinese teppanyaki as well.
Shizuka always seem to add a certain charm to the #JapanByFood destinations !
Shizuka’s duchenne smile never fails to brighten my day ☀️ That little glass coaster turned out more elegant than I expected
The coasters were super cute!

The symbolism is that it represents me because *I’m* a Japanese-Canadian blend haha 😆
@ShizukaAnderson Yes, I know...that was sort of a wise guy comment. But you described the taste, so I was wondering if it matched your personality! 😊
@@spang931 Haha I would like to say it does, but maybe only because it suits the taste that I like 😆
🥃🥃🙂🙂👏👏
Cheers!
Hey Honestly You're Awesome But I Hate Whiskey 😑
