finally, the whole Chadwick 1st symphony! I wonder why was it not recorded in his Symphony cycle recordings alongside 2nd and 3rd. Is it a relatively new discovery and was presumably lost?
Well that was surprisingly good! At first I noticed the instruments and thought "hum is this a midi?" and then I went to your channel to check out what was goin' on. Very nice Sir!
Thank you for making this one available, as with @hyperaticism you have to wonder why this was not recorded alongside his other orchestral works. You can say the same thing about Henry Hadley to my knowledge only the composers fourth symphony has ever been recorded, the rest have been left to lie fallow.
George Whitefield Chadwick was an American composer. Along with John Knowles Paine, Horatio Parker, Amy Beach, Arthur Foote, and Edward MacDowell, he was a representative composer of what is called the Second New England School of American composers of the late 19th century-the generation before Charles Ives. --Wikipedia
As far as I can tell, nobody has ever recorded this. I'm currently in the process of making a brand new performance edition of this work for my company that specializes in hard to find music.

Momentous and rather rare, I think.....BRAVI from Mexico City!

Thanks very much Martin. Another great achievement.
I have been waiting to hear a recording of this Symphony for YEARS! Is it available on cd?
