reminds me of the night I was the only passenger on a TA fishbowl in the early 80's. On the Q44 leaving Jamaica Station we made it to downtown Flushing in just 11 minutes.
These were a big part of my childhood and teen years. Halifax Transit had fifty-five of them before GM Diesel Division in London, Ontario stopped making them. With the V6 diesel engine. Now only smaller companies build buses.
It's younger than me and probably in better shape 🤣 Love that is now has interior advertisement signage. Make sure to leave empty spaces to be authentic to Calgary transit ;)
I rode those a lot. I rode GM New Look buses that were built from 1962 all the way up to 1982. The engines in the older buses were noisier than the newer ones.
