As a photographer in the city I totally agree, modeling is definitely a hard job especially when trying to maintain it full time. Im a fan of your modeling work. Glad you found a good balance between the different jobs.

Hey Kaira! I graduated University near SF Bay Area. I was recruited by Macy's for their management and buying program. I did work for Macy's for 2 years. It's a fun program, but you do work alot. I think I had 10 days off a year (vacation days) because working holidays and everything else. It's a tough program designed to weed people out. In the end, I decided it wasn't for me as I was really burnt out. Today, I'm a freelance photographer (still near the SF Bay Area) doing mostly commercial fashion magazine work with models such as yourself. I truly have a passion but photography doesn't pay the bills - sad to say. I hope you stick it out, please give us updates on your progress there. Definitely don't give up modeling either! (btw, you can get health insurance even as a FT model).

Do you think modeling part time in college is a good option financially?

It depends how often you can get modeling jobs. In my case I actually modeled full time and chose evening classes so I could do both full time.
