"It hasn't happened at Fenway Park for 95 years! The Red Sox are world champions!" What a moment! I've kept clicking at 2:22 over and over again, still getting the chills.
Just watched this through random videos popping up, and it reminds me of 2016 when Buck says "The Chicago Cubs.. have Finally won it all.. 8-7 in 10" and I have endless goosebumps as well :)
My family moved to Boston from southern California when I was 11. It was 1966. I walked into Fenway that summer and it was just like in Fever Pitch. The second I saw that green field backed by that green wall, I was no longer a Dodger fan. And after all the heartache of the 60s, 70s, and 80s (remember, we went to the WS once in each of those decades, and took it to Game 7 each time!), I still feel amazing thinking about each of the four WS titles we've had this century so far. 2004 healed me completely. The rest have just been joy after joy. I live in New Mexico now, but, whoa, Boston, you're my home!
Boston Strong, baby! 2013 was the year our Pirates (after 20 losing seasons) made the playoffs, and after beating the Reds in the wild card, we were up 2-1 on the Cards. But STL came back to win, then beat LA in the LCS, before losing to the Sox...imagine if the Bucs took on the Sox in '13? Congrats to the Red Sox on a hell of a run. This is what's baseball is all about, standing up for the city, after a tragedy happens! Thanks for a great World Series!
I NEVER ever thought Koji Uehara would be as impactful as he was when he first got here but man, I'm glad the most lethal "junk baller" in baseball was on our side.
Our city needed this so bad after the marathon bombings. 04 was special for obvious reasons, but winning this World Series is probably the most sentimental Boston sports title in my opinion, and the moment a lot of us realized life’s gonna go on
@@wiiztec yep giants in 2014 did it in kansas city, 2015 kansas city did it in new york, 2016 cubs did it in cleveland, 2017 astros did it in LA, 2018 red sox did it in LA, 2019 Nationals did it in houston, 2020 was the covid year, 2021 braves did it in houston
he means the last time they clinched a World Series win at their own stadium (fenway park) was back in 1918 which was 95 years ago from 2013. the other world series’ they won , they clinched the win on the opposing teams baseball field

You wouldn't believe how much I don't care, and there aren't even 200 countries in the world
Nobody cares
It was far and away Joe Buck's best call of the 4 Red Sox World Series this century. Instantly cried when I first heard it.

the fact that they won it after the boson marathon bobming boston strong

It was a tough rematch from 2004.

Goddamn, I love Koji Uehara
FEAR THE BEARDS!!!!
Koji was lights out all throughout the playoffs!!
Between FOX showing the electric atmosphere @Fenway and Joe Buck’s call it made for a amazing moment!
I NEVER ever thought Koji Uehara would be as impactful as he was when he first got here but man, I'm glad the most lethal "junk baller" in baseball was on our side.
The fact that they won it at Fenway made it even better. I wonder how crazy it was inside…

Favorite World Series win wver
Will it happen again this year if the Red Sox win the WS?
Heard Joe Buck's World Series call during the end credits of Season 2, Episode 2 of The Handmaid's Tale. Such a chilling moment.
weird to think this is so far the last time a team has won the world series in front of there home fans
All the world series winning games since have been away games?

what you mean they won in 2004. what are you talking about 95 years,
They hadn't won the winning game at fenway park since 1918

This was one time Joe Buck was not as awful as he usually is.
He’s really not that bad anymore
I'm still surprised he didn't mention the Yankees
