So with Tenpai being so prevalent, and with Yubel's semi weakness to board breakers, I've been running the Knightmare Mermaid package to end on a Dingirsu as well to insulate a bit, and also the discard for cost on Mermaid can actually help out with super bricked hands. Has helped out a bunch, and it's still good going second because of his 'send' effect on special. Not something you can do with every hand because Yubel is kind of inherently bricky already, but I'd say 70% of the time I can get him up if I need him.
You get a better combo with summon sorceress if you go with 2 copies of yama. After you muckraker back lotus, when you activate nightmare pain to pop spirit you can also activate yama and bring back spirit. This lets you go into a 2nd yama and then into anguish, then you can link off into rage so you end on the full board (minus appolusa) and still have a yama in grave to protect
I initially thought Varudras will be in the next pack with the rest of the memento cards and the month after fiendsmith arrives but some people say there are already some spoilers suggesting it all drops in January. What a start in the new year if that's the case! 😂😂 🎉🎉🎉
Yubel's annoying to deal with when I'm on anything that isn't Centur-Ion Bystial or Sky Striker. But those are the main decks I play and both have ways of dealing with their annoyances pretty effectively. Yubel is more consistent against a wide variety of decks than those things though, so many things STILL aren't prepared for damage reflection effects or getting their stuff linked off.
Um, surprisingly enough I got to master for the second time ever, with drytron in 2024. Tenpai makes me go first, that is a bad idea, I skip their main phase 1, and battle phase, and kill them on turn 3 😅
As I've climbed up in higher ranks and duelist cup, Yubel has been popping up. It's consistent and strong still.

Why do you pause a lot now? If that makes sense ive noticed youve been kinda of pausing after a certain amount of words
