The current tarmac rallies are all tricky. Japan, Croatia, CER all have unpredictable grip levels. And of course Monte Carlo you have dangerous black ice.
and Pirelli adds the extremely to that statement. it's not just the WRC, look at what happened in F1. there wasn't a single race this year where some driver didn't explode on the radio because of shit tires.
Taka did well to bring his team max points on Sunday after a bad season that saw him taken out of TGR’s lineup for Chile. He did his job as third driver very well especially given Ogier’s crash.
I just think that these cars should never have 500hp (even combined with hybrid) and go beyond 180kph flat out, really dangerous as they accelerate so fast. Btw, what a majestic countryside view!
Ruedas Pirelli buenísimas !! Ni tienen frenada ni tienen sujeción lateral ni son seguras La peor rueda para disputar el WRC .... Es una rueda para desplazar con coches de batalla larga como Subaru y Mitsubishi
If you watch carefully, there were trees ahead that blocked entry back onto to the road. Also maybe looking for a place where the road side ditch was not as deep.
A cheaper regulation maybe. But Group A? Group A would mean pretending the last 30 years in car technology never happened. You would have top category rally cars that are more primitive than road cars today.
My understanding of the CER is that the strategy is to take the cuts while they are clean if you are running first. Dirtying the roads is a bonus but not the reason. It's mostly about shaving time. The pundits have talked about it a few times for this rally.
2:18 what’s going on here? It’s not just Thierry. Looks to me like the strategy is to loose a little time in hopes that someone behind them gets a dnf. They all know how fragile the cars are.
This was such a good rally. I'm glad the title fight is still going on into the final round!
I wish I could watch a full stage and not just 10 minutes of highlights. I’d love to see the whole rally
Thanks Dirtfish, best WRC coverage by miles. Need to get Sami & Colin on rallyoke!
For a tarmac rally this seemed extremely tricky

Superb rally. It had it all!
Top video,fantastic👍
I still believe this type of racing is the most difficult! And amazes me that anyone finishes these courses! It's Badass!
Congrats to Ott Tänak for winning the rally

Got to have balls of steel to rally drive
1:35 I can’t imagine your power going out from a rally car crashing into a power line

you call it oversteer, I call it random donut
I don't feel so bad playing like shit on EA WRC. Central Europe rally is fast and highly technical with no room for error.
Why does the i20 sound so beafy almost like its bass boosted, especially on the upshifts, anyone know?
Bad day for alot of drivers

to splash mud all over the road.
i don't have proof but I bet that mud Ogier crashed on was his doing.

Penalties for being off course probably
i hope group a rules comes back beacuse this leads nowhere...10 Cars worth half a milion atleast 5 of them not even finish the rally😢very disapointing
