21:43 lol... "always lube before you put it in, guys" (and yes, the lack of a comma there would seriously change the implications of that statement, haha).
Well i did trans cooler about a year ago i wasn’t sure which line to tap in apparently i tapped into other one its been fine ,On cool day it runs 95 ,on hot day if u pushing hard 105c before tran cooler it used to run 110c on cool day 🤨
Just food for thought the torque converters on the 325 and 330 e46 are different. i have a 330 that has blown the F drum intergrated seal twice on 2 different trannys "symptoms after 20-30min driving when warm tranny slips in 3 to 4th gear, NEED TO REPLACE F drum. i put a 5hp19 from a 325i into my 330ci but its important to use the 330's torque converter for the 330 motor, so basically i mismatched them on purpose and it turned out great. The main problem ive seen with the 325i 5hp19 is the reverse DG drum cracking. i havent seen that cracking problem with the 330 5hp19 but have seen a main issue with the 330 5hp19 tranny is the F drum seal moving . i prefer the 325i tranny instead of the 330 which ive been succefully using in my 330ci
Great job! How many miles did the car have at the time? Any problems so far? I have a e39 with 124k miles and trans fluid looks like it has never been changed. Thanks
It had about 178k miles. The transmission service hasn't caused any problems. But it was just a drain and refill. I've been told that a transmission flush can cause problems.
@@michaelblacktree yes, that is what I plan to do on mine. It is working fine now but I just want to make sure it lasts as long as possible. Where you experiencing any problems before you did the job? Thanks
It would sometimes bang into reverse. I was afraid it would eventually break the reverse drum (which is a common problem). The Transgo kit addresses that. To be honest, I think the transmission needs a rebuild. But new fluid and filter doesn't hurt.
Valvoline MaxLife. It's in the thumbnail. It's also on the list of approved transmission fluids. Here's the list: www.e46fanatics.com/threads/official-atf-list-gm-and-zf.1125083/
This video is longer than usual. So you might want to grab a drink or a snack, and get comfy. 😉
Great Job! Thank you
That really is a mess, haha. Just another reason I am thankful for my manual!

Punctuation for the win!

that's cool... literally 😛
How is the trans holding up with the new fluid?
So far, so good.

Maybe I should have you rebuild my Yukon transmission, I dont wanna do it
I'm up for it. But shipping might be prohibitive. 😉
@@michaelblacktree Ya, that one might be a problem
Do you know the dimensions for each of the pressure regulators o-rings?
Sorry, I don't have that info.
