pray For my son as a trans man I still have a close relationship with God, and I believe that God made me exactly the way I am for a purpose. We cannot know for sure what God has in store for each of us, and we all have a different journey and relationship with him. I understand this may be difficult for you, but keep your child’s health in mind and accept them for who they are regardless of the outcome. They do not need to be saved from their identity, rather pray that they will find peace and assurance within themselves. A lot of LGBTQ+ kids fall into depression and anxiety from the fears that God rejects them, so I suggest reminding your child of your love and God’s love for them. He loves them for exactly who they are, and I do believe therapy is important especially if they are struggling. I hope I was able to help, have a great day. :)
It is a very real experience, and it’s important that you support and love your child even if you don’t understand or agree with them.
Some sins are definitely worse than others. murder is worse than littering. don't minimize awful sins by equating them with minor transgressions.
Could have Todd have gone deeper? Yes he could have. But he did put down a solid foundation for us here to elaborate on. What caught my attention was when he said “they lack relationship” when you are in a committed relationship with Christ, you’ll know what not to do, what to stay away from and what to say and not to say. People stuck in these sins stopped seeking and fearing God. Why people elevate homosexuality over let’s say cheating on someone is because homosexuals justify there actions. People who seek God will live a righteous life not justify our own sin.

Wow it just spoke right into my heart! I have been raped when I was like 3 years old from my older adopted brother. Since then I lived in sexual abuse but I was working in my church too... It wasn't able to stop but I prayed so hard and I was just too ashamed to tell anybody! I don't know why but what you said just touched me that much that I am able to change with the power of the Lord God almighty!

your older brother wickedly violated you and stole your innocence.... and now you need to forgive him for it. It will take time (been 3 years maybe you've gotten there) and it's not easy and it doesn't make sense but that is what Jesus asks us to do - and you will find incredible healing and a weight lifted off when you finally are able to get there. Forgiveness is the key you are searching for. And remember that your own transgressions are forgiven in Christ Jesus, which can give you strength to forgive others by having faith in what God has done for all of us. God bless.

Through Justification it not only means to declare rightous. Righteous (to be
in right standing with God). Its also the removal of sin and it's guilt and punishment. So it removes guilt not necessarily your sin all the time but others who's sin has impacted your life . The removal of guilt happens immediately when you got saved . Even though it didn't happen til you obtained the knowledge and applied it to your life it's what you call positional truths. This is really key...we can have the feeling of love for God but when a relationship with God is in place, there is a change in mindset, feelings, desires, and ultimately actions. And God says that the actions (fruits) are what determine whether or not someone loves God.

Im a beliver. I struggled with homosexuality. I repented from the lifestyle. I still struggke with same aex attractions. I know Im born again. I know there is a difference in struggling than out right living in it.

If I walked up to my pastor, and told him that I had an affair on my wife and it was wrong, and i'm struggling with it. It is a sin, would I be a Christian?
Answer: Yes, I sinned and I know I sinned. I'm a sinner saved by grace.
But If I walked up to my Pastor and told him that *I AM* having an affair on my wife AND I'M NOT SORRY FOR IT. And it ISN'T WRONG, And I can be an adulterous Christian and that is fine with God.

Last week my pastor said, hell is for those who didn't repent not for sinners.(saying I'm also sinner but only difference is that I have been clean by the blood of Jesus. And as I am walking with Jesus, I am doing my best to let him shine through me but I still sin since I live in my flesh(like being angry when I am tired and stuff) so I wash my feet everyday. Be ask him to clean me.
I don't take grace for granted but since I also have flesh I fail time to time. This makes me humble and remind me to not judge others harshly.
The more try to walk close to God it's easier to not sin.

It's the best thing ever to have the Holy Spirit live and be with you always. Now I have 9 degrees, study math and physics so I'm familiar with using my mind. The smartest professor I know at my school is a theoritical physicst and is Christian. Theres much more to life than what you can reason out with your mind. You want fulfillment like nothing else? All sin is NOT equal! The Bible speaks of the one “unpardonable sin”. I would say that clears it up pretty well. An “unpardonable sin” would be a different level than a “pardonable sin”. You can look up the references yourself and learn from your study. There are: transgressions, iniquities, and abominations. There are levels of sin and levels of grace. The goal is to resist ALL sin! Not to justify it at any level. Finally, I totally disagree with the argument that since we all have sinned we should support one another in our sinful state. God is Love. Love not only accepts and covers, but also corrects and rebukes. If parents don’t correct their children they don’t love their children. Allow God to correct you through others. Rebuke is an act of love. Love does not want you to remain in sin. As you mature in Christ, you should sin less often. Every sin is a choice. People choose to lie, to steal, to hate, to have sex outside of marriage, etc. Resist sin and it will flee from you. You are in control of your own actions. It takes great GRACE to see your own sin. Be thankful when God allows you to see it and correct yourself. Being turned over to your own lusts and the devil for correction is a hard way to learn but God will allow it because He loves you that much.

Our job is to Love, not judge or condemn. Do you honestly think an LGBTQ person hason't been told by people like you that they're sinners? Why don't you just Love them! Teach them about Jesus. Honestly, I hope divorced people in your church are not remarrying because the bible calls this adultery. This is a sin punishable by death. Doesn't get any more extreme than that. So unless you are LGBTQ save your parental "corrections" for your own children. And if you are divorced and remarried you have just made the other person commit adultery. Are you going to tell this second or even third married couple to get a divorce so they can show their repentance? STOP condemning, LOVE.

The difference I see is that homosexuality is called an abomination.....not all sins are called an abomination. All sins can be forgiven, but we have to repent and turn from them.
They need a revelation of Christs love for them only the Holy Spirit can reveal this. So trust the Lord to reveal this to you and pray.
Before they get a revelation of God's love, they need a revelation that they are under His wrath and condemnation. This is why Jesus died, so we may be spared the wrath of God. For God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, that we would be made the righteousness of God in Him. People will not see the need for a Saviour until they first see they are sinners. The Bible says His name will be called Jesus because He will save His people from their sin.
So well said! I was involved a cult that put sins on a gradient. Some people got privately reproved if they confessed a sin no one else knew of, some were publicly reproved in front of the congregation and some were disfellowshipped and excommunicated from all friends and family for months or years, all depending on the sin. But I always felt that sin is sin, not one is worse than the other. And God already knows where we need him and his Holy Spirit to lift us up out of it. God bless your ministry and your family Todd White. You have 'coeur', which means 'heart' in French and is where we get the word 'courage'. The courage we have is of Holy Spirit and is one of love and power, not fear and condemnation. That is how He helps us up into repentance.
All of the scenarios he presents just crush my heart in pain. I can't imagine the pain that our Holy God feels. Because He is infinitely Holy and I am so finite in my spirit while I am on earth.

I don't understand the hatred from some of these comments to those in homosexuality. They are lost guys. They don't understand. They don't see the ultimate love of an amazing father. We have to stop saying how wrong people are, how they are an abomination, etc and instead, love them through everything. We have to stop acting like these poor hearts can be commanded to stop. Jesus first SAVED the adulterous woman and then told her to sin no more. All of the comments who are so hateful and commanding, when we are willing to live our lives as a sacrifice for that homosexual then we can speak the truth in love. We can't continue to look at "sinners as less than". That is NOT what Jesus did. That's what the Pharisees and religious did.

In addition to extending His Grace and help, which is why He came, Jesus did not stone her because He was upholding the Law which demands that "both are stoned." What a wonderful thought! This is a little confusing...So like it's ok to live a gay lifestyle and love God? White says, "you could go through life saying you love God and "live" like the biggest hypocrite on the planet." If this is true then you don't have to repent of the gay lifestyle, just love God.
Look if those pastors that he is talking about really committed those sins, then God will judge them accordingly as the scriptures convey. But to "live" in sin is to live in darkness, deception, denial. Repentance and putting your trust in Jesus is the Only way to God the Father.
Todd White and Bethel type churches are still pounding on the seeker friendly type gospel of half truths. Sure the Gospel is "hidden" in there somewhere and I'm sure there are those who come to Christ but I believe the way Jesus preach was much more understandable, with clarity and fire. Very wise answer! What is the difference between my food addition vs one that commits homosexuality? I cannot judge through "my righteousness". I am no better. Yet the difference between one and the other is that I am able to ADMIT that it is wrong, that I am a sinner and I've repented. ( I am still not 100% healed from my addition though...I am better each day but still struggling) Yet I've not met many that are able to admit that they are in sin because they're gay. I never understood that.
the difference is homosexuality cause much more harm than a food addiction. I believe we are learning we should have that much more compassion toward those in the lifestyle because it is so much more damaging.

Jesus died on the cross for All our sins past present and future. if some sins were worse than others Jesus would have to die on the cross again for each one. He did it once and for all. in our fleshy minds we think one sin is greater than another because of how horrible that sin is to us.

I'm not sure how a person can read the word of God and cherry pick what they want from it.I know the truth hurts but conviction moves people to repentance.Let me rephrase that it "can" lead a person to repentance.The fear of the Lord is the "beginning" of knowledge.
Why does God say to love thy neighbor? What if your neighbor is a homosexual. Now what do you do? God never tells us to love SIN but He tells us to love. He even goes so far to say love your enemies. We are called to love because without love we are nothing. We are called to share the gospel with unbelievers but how many will listen if we speak with hate. What God thinks about homosexuality? The answer: Sodom and Gomorah...Nothing changed, He is same yesterday, today and tomorrow!
I'm thinking of the parable Jesus taught about the pharisee and the publican standing praying and the pharisee prays that he is glad that he is not afflicted with certain sin s as others are and as the publican is. He mentions extortioners, unjust, and adulterers. And the publican would not even lift his eyes up to heaven because of his sin and asks God for mercy. He was humble. And the publican, the word says, went out justified and not the other.
We can find that parable in Luke, chapter 18, in the holy bible scriptures.

I would love to talk to you about the limitations of science (and its successes) and how spirituality is actually a different and complementary way to search for the truth. Best thing i can reccomend you do is go to a charismatic church and get prayer, then humble yourself (you don't know everything) and pray to God for understanding. What have you got to lose?

All the back and forth comments just shows lack of relationship, knowledge, fellowship with the Lord and real lack of understanding for the Word, character, and commands of God. Instead of criticizing and judging your brothers, aren't we supposed to be taking the log out of our own eyes to see clearer? If there is no love, there's no real knowledge of God for God is love. And just as Todd says, we all have our own version of who God is...but if we would spend time with Him and surrender even the things we think we know, we would see Him clearer. For he who thinks he is wise need to review what the Lord says:

I think what he is meaning to say is don't judge because Jesus wiped out your sins. If this is the case I agree but to say that all sins are equal in the sense of depravity I don't agree. It is kind of like saying it is okay since we are all sinners anyway. At least that is how it sounds.

I think you can love God so much.. pray to him so much. Try your best to live according to his word. Have a relationship with Jesus. I think to act like some of these people who preach saying that just because you have some demons that you are trying to fix, trying to get over, that you don’t truly love God is inaccurate. We pray for brothers and sisters to fix these imperfections and to keep following the path to one day be able to truly repent on all of these imperfections. That’s the way I at least try to follow. I don’t know a whole lot about how things work in this world, but I’d like to believe that if my God is as loving as the Bible explains him to be, that people with good hearts that try to keep picking theirselves back up after rough days or having issues in whatever light, that they will be recognized and judged accordingly.
You do not have an accurate view of God's love, read Rev. 3:19. He rebukes and chastens those He loves. You are applying a worldly view of love to God, deceptively wrong. You need to filter your understanding through the word of God, don't trust your feelings.

when comparing sin.. it could be asked back of the person.. is it a sin because it offends you according to what you think? Or is sin a sin irregardless of what we think, according to what offends God, as revealed in His Word. I agree God looks at the heart, however scripture indicates that God judges each sin separately just as there are 10 commandments when 9 of those commandments are judgement for not following the first commandment; to love God with all your heart. To say all sin is the same to God is to grossly misrepresent the Lord's teaching and the distort the heinous and disgusting nature of sin and help give an excuse for people to continue in their sin, because after all "it's all the same to God and we are all sinners". Matthew 18:6 Jesus said "whoever causes a little one to stumble it would better for them to have a millstone tied around their neck and cast into the sea" this seems to indicate sins against children are especially heinous in nature. Matthew 10:15 again Jesus says "Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment, than for that city" this passage indicates that there is different levels of punishment for rejecting the Gospel, so hence different levels of sin in God's eyes.

I don't know if that's correct. I agree that the Catholic Church and the rest of us may come together because Catholics are true Christians with a lot of doctrinal errors. What they believe about praying to 'Mary' and praying to angels, purgatory, etc, are doctrinal errors. One thing about Catholics, all of their crazy doctrines aside, they believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that is the one essential for salvation whether you are in error about other doctrines or not. We all learned about the Son of God from them, and I must say, they did a great job! Historically, they were here first. On the other hand, you may be right that they will stay corrupt in those areas of doctrine and align themselves with the NWO. But I believe those that do will be Catholics who were so distracted by idolatry, praying to Mary, the angels, and the dead, that they did not obtain true faith in Christ. From what I understand about Bible prophecy, all true possessing Christians (not merely professing Christians) will have been Raptured by then, this will include Catholics. Their understanding of Christ is uncorrupted. Actually he can outline for us how strongly God views the sins of homosexuality, fornication etc. He knows that we cannot rescue someone while we embarrass them and clopping them over the head. I watched him lovingly help a man on the street who is hooked on porn. Believe it or not, he didn't belittle him a bit. The word does teach us how to approach someone caught in sin. We speak with humility since we could also have a weak day and fall ourselves.

True Christianity is faith and belief in what God has already done; it is not religion, it's relationship with our creator who loves us, who gave his life to save us as there is nothing we could ever do to earn our way back to him... Religious ppl would say "so your saying ppl can just do whatever they want then" no, that is not what I'm saying and in the Bible someone asked one of the apostles the same thing and got the reply "God for bid" or in other words no that is not what I'm saying, I'm saying simply that All sin has consequences in this life and the next... This point is simple common sense but many ppl just don't get it... I love gay ppl but hate homosexuality; there is a fine line between loving someone and hating the sin in someone's life... I understand that God made man in his image and for a man to be with a man or a man to be with a woman outside of covenant is a insult to the image of God... This is why Satan pushes hard for ppl to fall in these things... Ppl stop getting so cought up in religion and stop going around calling ppl an abomination or other condemning words things like this only stirs up pride in them or leads them to further self destruction even suicide... That would be just like you killing someone but with your words... We are to be a lamp in this word shining the love of God to all ppls... To all gay or homosexual ppl out there reading this know you are Loved; I love you and Jesus loves you... Jesus says come as you are, all who are hungry or thirsty and you will be filled; he waits for you with open loving arms... Whatever sin you are in God will help you overcome if you seek him...
Hebrews 10:26 "For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins".....People who sin and know the truth and go to church and hear the word of God and still lives in sin will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Homosexuals who say they go to church but love God should know that 1Corinthians 6:9-11 says that Homosexuality is wrong. That means that they know the word of God and still choose to live in sin. Good job Todd .. the same deception that makes a heterosexual person lust and think it’s ‘ok’ is the same deception that makes a homosexual lust and think that it’s ‘ok’. Neither is OK and Jesus wants all to be transformed into His image. Let’s say it as it is so no one misses out on the Grace of God.
