This is amazing. I made my first baby quilt using your QIAD book in 1991, for my first daughter. I'm now making a baby quilt for that girl who is having a baby girl. Thank you for all the years of inspiration kindness and creativity!
Eleanor what a pleasure you are to watch. You go through all of the techniques explaining everything, which is so valuable when you are learning to sew patchwork, which is so varied in its skills and which has a enjoyment level of 110%. Jackie is a lovely person and so good at what she does at 10 years old. Well done Eleanor you have inspired me - I am a Canadian living in England and you have reached out with your lovely personality and fantastic skill.
Jackie's smile and teachable spirit on this video was a joy to watch! I hope you use her again in another tutorial. Eleanor, I liked how you instructed her, letting her do alone those tasks with skills she already had and guiding her on other tasks without talking down to her. Perhaps you and her older brothers can help her make her own videos to teach other middle school-age to teenagers (or adults who are new to quilting) on how to make easy-to-assemble quilts such as this one - I love it!
God Bless u Eleanor Burns, i have been watching u for years and i learned how to make my first crazy quilt vest, and still have the tape, but this is a super video with little Miss Jacket, what a joy to watch. God Bless u both.
Jackie you're awesome! Love this video tutorial. Mrs. Burns you're a pleasure to watch. I finally found the right starter quilt for me. Thank you, ladies.
What a sweet quick quilt. It is a great one for a young person to do plus I love that you used that Fiskar cutting tool. I own one to use when cutting lots of strips and the glow tape as well. I have arthritis and the cutter helps tremendously. Too bad that Fiskar stopped producing them, in the 24" length. Hello to Jackie she did a wonderful job. Kudos to you both.
