Hello everyone! I hope you enjoy this pronunciation lesson! English vowel sounds can be a little tricky, but I really help this lesson gives you some good practice! Which English vowel sounds are the trickiest for you?
Hey Mam, I'm Not A Native Speaker. For Me The Trickiest Vowels Are; /ɜ:/ /əʊ/ /ʊə/ And I Always Couldn't Pronounce The Exact 'R' Sound As American Natives...😊
@@ali__seyyid it's great that you have a good understanding of the vowels that challenge you. Have you seen this pronunciation lesson? th-cam.com/video/LDoNyusYyCU/w-d-xo.html I hope it's useful!
Hello, Emma. Your lessons are very useful and interest. You must keep the work, but I hope you'll not black out in future. I want to translate your lessons, but I don't know how it'll be better. I can translate to Russian or (maybe) German languages. Please, Could you answer to me.
I'm a native American English speaker and I landed on this video because I didn't know what a diphthong was. Even though this video targets non-native English speakers, I found it especially helpful and VERY well done! You have a very pleasant demeanor and encouraging attitude!
Hi..everybody... Do you agree with me on... Emma can be a wonderful tv presenter... Her accent is so clear...she speaks very soft but energetic.. She has a quite aceptable tv face too...
I love these pronunciation videos. As a kid when I learned english in school we were only teached to use the closest thing we have in our own language. There are some sounds in english that we don't have. Also the flow is very different. Of corse later we went a bit deeper Now I would consider myself relatively fluent in english and I use it more than my native language Finnish. My boyfriend is german so we communicate in english. Now I'm trying to learn german and I use english to learn it. Learning language is not easy and I'm so grateful for the internet because without it I wouldn't be able to speak english today... I remember as a teen I used to wish I was born in a country where people speak english but now I'm glad that I can speak finnish. It's very different to english and overall languages are fun! I hope to master german one day so I could say that I can speak three different languages.... that would be awesome
Another wonderful class, Emma. Thank you for helping us learn this universal language. You are an awesome teacher and it's nice to watch your videos every week. Thanks again and greetings from Brazil. You are the Best Teacher!
Senang banget langsung dari orang ngomong Inggris nya. Jd aksennya pas di telinga. Dan di dukung dgn subtitle nya. Kenapa baru nemu skrg ya pas udh lulus sekolah dan kuliah tp kan belajar gada kenal umur.
Your labour has been indeed rewarding for both your person and millions of viewers from different parts of the world. Hope every single day adds to your charged and charming presentations.
I am from India. My native language is Hindi. I regularly watch your videos. I can easily fathom your classes. Really you are a great teacher in TH-cam. I talk to my friends about your channel and recommend them to watch your videos to enhance knowledge in English communication.
Hello Emma This lesson is pretty difficult but you can make it easy as pie. I am doing the best I can. Thank you very much for your kindness. You are so generous.☺
Interesting and awesome content. Good Job! Greetings from Brazil. Lucky me, all these three diphthong sounds exist in my native language, Portuguese, so it's not such a big deal for me to pronounce them , however the IPA symbols use to represent them are quite different in Portuguese Phonology. */eɪ/* is represented like */ej/* */ɔɪ/* is represented like */ɔj/* */aɪ/* is represent like */aj/* In Portuguese we have the word *s* *ei* */ sej /* which means *I know* and it sounds very similar to the word *say* */seɪ/* in English. And we also have the word *p* *ai* */paj/* which means *father* and it sounds very similar to the word *pie* */paɪ/* in English. The Diphthong */ɔj/* occurs in words like d *ói* */dɔj/* which means *it hurts* and *her* *ói* which means *hero* It's really Intresting that in the English spelling / writing a diphthong sound can be represented by one single vowel letter, as is *c* *a* *ke */k *eɪ* *k/* or *b* *i* *te */b* *aɪ* *t/* for example. In Portuguese writing however, a diphthong is always represented by two vowels letters.
