What a surprise that you liked the H2R the best. Your journalism and professionalism shone through on this one Freddie. I look forward to the next episode.
Freddie it’s official. I’m living vicariously thru you now. Your living the life I’ve always wanted. Free hotel room, and free backpack full of stuff! And then a day of riding fast bikes. I’m not a sport bike guy, but riding new bikes in Spain, ya I could handle that. I think the Ducati would be the one for me. Just like a Harley, they have a sole. And if you can feel that , you have as a biker have reached Nirvana. I really can’t wait for the next installment of this great adventure that I’m having thru you.
Thanks Steve- I felt incredibly lucky when I saw the nine bikes lined up at 8am! And a stunningly good belreakfast in the morning (I think I had three breakfasts each morning😆). Totally agree re Harley and Ducati- I bike must stir the sole🧘♂️
My compliments to whoever chooses your soundtracks. I watch a lot of motorcycle channels and very few understand where we want to hear the bike or when it's cool to throw in some music. Nice 60s vibe and not a lot of clichéd motorcycle rebel tracks lol.
This is brilliant Freddie, I discovered your channel last year whilst I was in hospital having a kidney cancer op . I believe your videos gave me a great distraction in hospital . By far the best channel for travel bikes and cars , keep making them , thank you 👍 Valentino Rossi riding by , I would have stopped him for a pic
I’m so happy to hear the channel was a pleasant outlet for you when in hospital, Robert🙂 Thank you for the kind words- I’m delighted you like the content! Sending all my best🙂
I'm with you on your round up at the end, Freddie. The perfectly imperfect bike, the one that won't be right for everyone - but will be right for you. It'll rarely just happen, but once you discover the rider you are, you can find the bike to suit. I recently changed a Honda NC750X for a Moto Guzzi V7. The NC was probably as competent, but was clearly more practical and functional for a wider range of things. ...but it didn't stir the soul like the Guzzi has with me. Even though the mirror vibrate more, and the servicing is more expensive and more often, and there's a lack of storage and carrying capacity...it just "right" for my style, and that's what matters. My perfectly imperfect bike.
It is strange Freddie, how a bikes character is so important to riding pleasure. I test rode the 900 bmw,the suspension, brakes and balance were all sublime, but the engine was shocking. You are living the dream!
Freddie and Monica have a unique style of video making, that appeals not just to bikers, but a far wider audience. For 2 people to be able to make such quality content is amazing. I can honestly see a great future (TV show) for them both, and it could not happen to 2 nicer people. Thanks for all you do.
Fortunately there's a bike out there for everyone, you just don't get that with cars. That's what I love about bikers meeting together you rarely see two bikes exactly the same. I do feel sad for future of biking. I'm sure you will have lots of stories to tell people later on in life about real bikes you used to ride and places you both rode. Great video and you still have the good weather, so jealous 😁
Completely agree Dale. There are so many motorbikes I want to own, and very few cars. I really hope things work themselves out for biking’s future!🤞🏼🤞🏼
It's funny I don't even like motorbikes that much, but the three vloggers I click to watch instantly are yourself, Itchy Boots and Le Nez dans le Moteur. Mind you my fav car only has 2cylinders!
Yes, many of us I’m sure feel the same way. We just wish we had more of the folding stuff to spend on lovely new models. So what a good point you made in this video Freddie as regards older bikes still having plenty to offer. So nice to have ‘one of us’ at these test days!!😉
I was one of your subscriber when you had like 1.1k subs... you have really grown your content.. and the way you connect with your audience via story telling approach... I really love this kind of bike videos.. Personally I have continental gt 650.. next Looking forward to diavel 1260 for fun purpose.. I WISH YOU HAD MAKE A VIDEO ON THOSE TWO BIKES SEPARATELY (obviously) .
For one dreadful moment I thought this was going to be a test ride video of the bikes. So glad you didn't go down that route but kept to your tried and tested format and presentation strengths. 👍👍👍 Yes, the "best" bike is the one you like!
Quite rightly Freddy you are moving up in the world. Its because your videos are so beautifully shot and your enthusiasm shines through (looking forward to the GP, then trust me on this, Get you and Monica to Cadaques, if you don't love it I will be amazed!!!!
You summed it up so well at the end, the new mid size twins everyone is making leave me a bit cold, you want something that makes you look back at it and think “it’s great to be a biker”
You are a very lucky guy Freddie that must have been such fun to ride on the roads out there ,great watch and quite surprised that you found the H2 to be the one, it does look awesome though .Looking forward to faze 2 of the operation it's gonna be great . 👍
i did a lot of research b4 i got my Z H2 last week.. i'm still breaking it in so can't feel the power like you have.. missed this video of yours though but hearing you talk about it some more now just validates my right decision.. haha.. keep the videos coming
I started watching you when I bought my beautiful thruxton r . I sold the thruxton sadly and bought a 200hp zzr1400 which is super smooth with extreme power. I carried on watching you then decided to get rid of all the power and buy a 350 classic Enfield as I've realized I only do short rides and no actual point in having all the power. Great video 👍
Wonderful video Freddie. Your end of video summation is absolutely spot on. Character means so much in a motorcycle. I work in a Honda motorcycle dealership and get to ride many different bikes. Honda Gold Wings are the ultimate long distance touring machines, but after riding one I get off with no feeling towards the bike. It has the same emotional connection of a kitchen appliance. Blah……. The Harley Davidsons and the Indians however. They don’t go as fast, don’t stop as well and don’t handle anywhere near the Gold Wing, but. They are alive. I love riding them because of the way they feel, and the way they make you as a rider feel……..Alive! Just my 2 cents worth. Keep up the excellent work.
Great bit of journalism Freddie am not really in to super fast sports bikes myself (don’t dislike em!) But you made the Kawasaki very desirable for sure, wouldn’t mind giving it a go! Looking forward to your next video keep it up mate👍🏻😎
I’m with you on the sports bikes John. I respect what they do, but I wouldn’t buy one. But the spaceship like feeling from the ZH2 was really addictive!
Superb vlog again Freddie every second catching our attention and what a very interesting review of the bikes of the day and in general , waiting now for day two 😊
Hello Mr. Dobbs! Just recently stumbled upon your videos and I really enjoy your work, so thank you for that! I especially love your enthusiasm and your good taste in retro. Just bought a 2021 R nineT Urban G/S a few days ago and doubt is already creeping up my spine, whispering I maybe should’ve bought a T120 instead (what a two-wheeled dream that bike is). Greeting from Germany!
I’m so happy you found the channel, Ahren🙂 Ooo now the RnineT Urban is special😍 This is the tough decision of many bikers; RnineT, or T120. The focused power and dynamism of the BMW, or the laid back comfort of the T120. Genuinely a tough call!
Ahren, live with the bike for a while. It's like a new romance. It takes time. In the end, after a few months, if you really can't get along with each other, switch her out for a new model. That's my motto in life. Twice divorced and single. LOL ;)
Hi Freddie. the two MB pursuit cars with the SE number plates are registered in Norhern Germany (Segeberg) roughly 20 miles north of Hamburg near where I live,
Great vid Freddie, looking forward to the next one, I just love all bikes, I don’t think I could say what bike would be my ultimate machine, as they say “horses for courses” 👊
Great vlog Freddie, most powerful or slick is not always the best, experienced this myself back in the early 2000s. Bought a new 600 Honda Hornet in red, brilliant bike but then exchanged that for a new Triumph Trident 900 in blue, looked brilliant but soon realised it was way too top heavy then exchanged that for a Honda X11 in black, a monster of a bike and I was relieved when I sold it after three years to concentrate on rare Japanese classic bike restorations. So of those three bikes I learned that I should have kept the Hornet as it was the best all rounder and saved a small fortune doing so.
Hi Freddie a great film and no you didn't ramble ....plus I've seen a few reviews on that kawasaki and they too all love it thanks again look forward to the next episode..
I really like your videos and video style. At this video I asked myself if you plan to invest in one or two action cams to film while driving, especially when you test motorcycles 🏍 😀.
I test rode an F900R (black) today, nice bike but totally surprised how cramped the knee/leg position is, not for me and I’m only 5’ 10” with a standard 30’ leg. Typical BMW build, very good, loads of tech and actually quite cheap. You must have been even more cramped up on it. I like your end comments too, it is of course personal preference but you are so right, don’t dismiss the older bikes, just cause they may not have all these new tech gizmo’s
I really like your videos and also how you voice your opinions. Funny that you like the ZH2, I always thought you are more on the comfy and slow side of life. But my pick of the days is: it's about character, all modern bikes are far better than my abilities as a rider; therefore ride a bike that will give you (me) something back, some emotions, maybe some irritating habits (Im also riding a Ducati ST2, this bike provides a fair share of emotions and annoying details) but most important that is making an impression and providing me with an afterglow.
Really glad you’re enjoying the videos🙂 It was the feeling of being on a space ship (the Kawasaki) that I found so addictive (the speed and smoothness was stunning). I completely agree with you; a bike that makes me feel something and give something back is more important than performance figures
Far better to ride a less powerful bike quickly than have all the power and be afraid to use it. I have a Honda cbr600f4 plenty fast enough for uk roads and their stringent speed limits.
@@rogerelwynjones1366 Plenty of power can be overwhelming and exciting. I made this experience with a BMW K1200S, 167PS and the biggest smile after the test ride. Than came normal life and a long disappointment based on feeling nothing while riding.
Very interesting vid Fred . You have a unique style which is very difficult in these TH-cam times . Eat your heart out Henry Cole ! I might of missed it but why did you get the michelin invite ? ....was it something to do with your modelling or purely your channel ? Well deserved either way
A word of warning on Herschel bags like that… if you get one with vinyl straps they seem to disintegrate. They have changed to a silicone strap material recently due to this. I had to throw mine away due to the straps.
Hi Freddie, Next time you are in the Valencia area let us know. ;-) Would love to show you some of the great roads around here, with spectacular sights and great lunch spots. See you around!
I remember going to the bike show at the nec a few years ago where the H2 was new and they were starting it up and revving it. Made hairs stand up on neck. I know exactly what you mean about the power addiction. But I now live with out that. Its funny but lower power bikes still do it all except that tingly sprint. Cars are the same I recently drove my 70 yr old friends audi tts. 300+ bhp wow. 4 wed what a machine. If that’s a hairdressers car bring it on Shame u didn’t test r1250r. Its my favourote. Love end of vlog about older bikes and u are so right to the ordinary rider is not capable of exploring the limits of these machines
You jammy git, but richly deserved. Shame you didn’t get to ride the other bikes especially the KTM 890 and 1290 Dukes. How about what you learned with the different tyres? I have Michelin Road 4 and 5 tyres on two of my bikes. Very pleased with their all round confidence inspiring performance. Also have Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres on my car which are awesome. Agree with you about the twilight years of ICE bikes (and cars) before they are banned in favour of electric versions although they too are very capable in a different way. I was half expecting you to sneak Monica into the hotel with you ;@). Looking forward to part dos.
Ahhh I know- the KTMs just evaded me, which is a shame because the 890 was the pick from the day for a good chunk of riders. I was lucky to have perfect conditions (warm, dry, and easy to warm up the tyres), so the Cup 2 (the track focused tyre) gave gigantic amounts of confidence in cornering and breaking and I really didn’t feel the ZH2 was intimidating at all with all the grip.
Kawasaki make some super nice to ride bikes. Even the ninja 650 is a great little bike. They are really comfy seats and bar positions… for me! As you said.. personal preference for body shape etc. So you’re getting a Ducati! 🤣👌
Like Hood jeans - the only brand that actually feels like it would protect you. Be aware that they are pretty damn heavy with knee and hip gear in. I don't wear them for sub 20 minute journeys.
Your spot on Freddie everyone is different I like bikes that are smooth & quiet I know a lot of riders like bikes that are noisy that make a lot of engine & exhaust noise some people call this character & soul I call it Fk annoying
Looks like you had a great day. So how did the same model bike with different tyres compare or didn't you notice that much difference in normal driving conditions (and in dry weather)?
In these perfect dry, warm conditions it was hard to tell. One thing I definitely could feel; the Kawasaki with the track tyres gave huge amounts of cornering, braking and acceleration confidence. I could enter and exit corners with no fear of losing traction🙂👌🏻
Agree 100% with your thoughts. BMW's are "bland" to me , an appliance, Ducatis on the other hand and interesting and a "machine". Look forward to the next one
I can’t argue with this😆🪞 I wouldn’t trade the Bonneville in. The Kawasaki was like a space ship, but in normal everyday road conditions, I prefer a bike like the Bonneville which I’s more enjoyable at lower speeds🙂
I'd have been petrified on the ZH2. The first BMW would have been fine for me, Freddie. Your budget backpack is cheap for a reason. Use it for long on a motorcycle, and the straps may well break. Petrol-engined motorcycles will be around for a long while in Southeast Asia. No interest in Moto GP at all. This video was a good watch, though.
The ZH2 should be in the bland and soulless category by rights, being a smooth, inline 4. But somehow it isn't. The instant shove in any gear, the ferocity and the chirping of the supercharger on the overrun. Amazing bike, having owned one. Just wish they offered some more daring colour schemes beyond the Kawasaki green or the pinky red.
Can you do video the conversation with Monika, where you explain that she couldn't possibly have come with you, stayed in the nice hotel and then she could have gone out and about in Valencia while you were on the bikes and at the MotoGP...... ouch!
I’ve just got back into biking again I’m 61 and short in the leg just got a. Triumph Street triple 765 r lowered brand new…. Live it . Watching your adventures have inspired me to get back on the bike ….
If you want to be invited back by Michelin you might want to talk about the tyres😂 Empty spanish roads a sports bike and fresh sticky rubber you are a lucky man Next time don’t forget your knee sliders😂
Youre right Freddie, if you want character and soul you dont want a BMW. And my 1994 Ducati 900SS looks so much nicer than that Ducati 950 sport. You can buy some fantastic bikes for under £5000.
There’s something unique about Freddie’s delivery and enthusiasm that I find entertaining and endearing. :)
Really appreciate it🙌🏻🙌🏻
What a surprise that you liked the H2R the best. Your journalism and professionalism shone through on this one Freddie. I look forward to the next episode.
Really appreciated, thanks Rattus. I surprised myself by preferring the Kawasaki over the BMW and Ducati!

Your closing speech was spot on and it was nice to spot “Ride and Roll by Juliane” at @ 20.22 🇬🇧
Thanks Stewy and very well spotted- Juliane was extremely nice🙂
It's one of the best things about bikes - there's so many to choose from and life would be boring if we all liked the same thing :-)
I'm with you on your round up at the end, Freddie. The perfectly imperfect bike, the one that won't be right for everyone - but will be right for you. It'll rarely just happen, but once you discover the rider you are, you can find the bike to suit.

I love this, and 100% understand. And after seeing old Guzzi workshops in Palermo, I love the brand even more!🙂🇮🇹
As ever, really jealously enjoying your time in the sunshine - and the ever-better production between the two of you.
Hugely appreciated, thank you Kevin🙂

Enjoyed that Freddie 👍🏻
Great summary at the end too. You don’t need 150bhp, to have fun on a motorcycle
It's funny I don't even like motorbikes that much, but the three vloggers I click to watch instantly are yourself, Itchy Boots and Le Nez dans le Moteur. Mind you my fav car only has 2cylinders!

Thanks for the ride Freddie !

Hi, Freddie,s magic comes through again , with a day on some bikes . Have fun with the sun out .
Looking forward to seeing & hearing your first MotoGP experience 🚀
Quite rightly Freddy you are moving up in the world. Its because your videos are so beautifully shot and your enthusiasm shines through (looking forward to the GP, then trust me on this, Get you and Monica to Cadaques, if you don't love it I will be amazed!!!!

Awesome video and awesome content can’t wait for the next video Thank’s Freddie and Monika
Thank you Jason🙂
Kawasaki have always made bikes with huge amounts of passion...especially any bike with H2 in the title!
another great vid Freddie, about the only TH-camr that i have to watch religiously.
i did a lot of research b4 i got my Z H2 last week.. i'm still breaking it in so can't feel the power like you have.. missed this video of yours though but hearing you talk about it some more now just validates my right decision.. haha.. keep the videos coming

Thank you- it’s hugely appreciated🙌🏻
Looking forward to the rest of the moto GP story, great presentation as usual.
Always informative , I love looking a the bikes via pausing .

Thank you Rory🤜🏼🤛🏼
Brilliant Freddie 👍🏻👍🏻
great Freddie mate, im not a biker but always loved the Ducati 996
I owned a yellow one, a fantastic bike.
So cool, man! Kawasaki is just such an amazing moto company.
I strongly agree Steve- they make superb bikes👌🏻

Haha no way! What a trip they had down south🇩🇪🇪🇸
Great videos as always, thank you both.
Thanks Dave!
Love my Supersport and its not just charactful but a great all round performer for long distance touring. Cheers Freddie and Monica.
Great review Freddie, I was in Valencia for the GP pity I didn’t bump into you 😊
I hope you enjoyed it Brenden!🙂
Good video Freddie and good assessment,I love my R1100rs all due to its flaws and character👌
22:00 Exactly why I bought a Guzzi!

Been tempted by the ZX2 but looks too modern, imagine one styled liked the Z900RS #perfect ❤
That really would be perfect!
Freddie you are a man of good taste

Got two pairs of hood jeans on you recommendation. You should mention that you can get them in your specific size! I think that’s amazing,,
Very good point- I always forget this!
Nice one Freddie...

Your spot on Freddie everyone is different I like bikes that are smooth & quiet
I know a lot of riders like bikes that are noisy that make a lot of engine & exhaust noise some people call this character & soul I call it Fk annoying
Cheeky one: Happy to buy the old Xmoto backpack off you as you know we can't get deliveries here :-)
Looks like you had a great day.
@@FreddieDobbs Thanks for the reply, that's what I expected indeed.
Freddie! You really missed a trick not riding the ktm 890 Duke and the 1290 Superduke R. If you liked the ZH2 and Ducati you would've adored the KTMs.
Ahhhhhh I know- I just ran out of time. The 890 seemed to be the pick of the two
Agree 100% with your thoughts. BMW's are "bland" to me , an appliance, Ducatis on the other hand and interesting and a "machine". Look forward to the next one
What do you film with? body/lens ?😊
You lucky man
Julianna and Turboschaf in the background? I'm surprised you liked the Kawa because it's as far from the Triumph as you can get.
Not sure if I want a bike if the mirrors are useless. I like to stay alive if possible.
Will you trade in the Bonnie for a supercharged kwaker?
I can’t argue with this😆🪞
I wouldn’t trade the Bonneville in. The Kawasaki was like a space ship, but in normal everyday road conditions, I prefer a bike like the Bonneville which I’s more enjoyable at lower speeds🙂
That Fiat has earned a clean!!!
Holy shit Freddy!
It was a crazy weekend!
Hey Freddie! What was your opinion on the KTM?
The ZH2 should be in the bland and soulless category by rights, being a smooth, inline 4. But somehow it isn't. The instant shove in any gear, the ferocity and the chirping of the supercharger on the overrun. Amazing bike, having owned one. Just wish they offered some more daring colour schemes beyond the Kawasaki green or the pinky red.
What about the Michelins ??
Why couldn’t you test the 1290
Can you do video the conversation with Monika, where you explain that she couldn't possibly have come with you, stayed in the nice hotel and then she could have gone out and about in Valencia while you were on the bikes and at the MotoGP...... ouch!
Thank you for this, Kevin😆
Freddie what cc is your Bonneville
865cc and 65hp (perfect for all situations- in my opinion🙂)
I’ve just got back into biking again I’m 61 and short in the leg just got a. Triumph Street triple 765 r lowered brand new…. Live it . Watching your adventures have inspired me to get back on the bike ….
If you like your gloves can I make a recommendation of a glove that’s superior in every way and feels better and is safer but looks almost identical
Keren dan saya suka
😍🤩
Ooo nice video 📹( o and first)
Thanks Eddie! I think you may’ve literally by a second been beaten to first spot😆
O, f¥¥¥¥¥¥k🤣🤣🤣🤣🧻
Can I join you next time??? I’ll buy my own way obviously I just want to tag along. I Can film or edit or whatever
If you want to be invited back by Michelin you might want to talk about the tyres😂
Empty spanish roads a sports bike and fresh sticky rubber you are a lucky man
Next time don’t forget your knee sliders😂
I will remember this (and can’t argue)😆🛞
Beautiful bikes...good thing your tall..lol...Monica wasnt with you?...great video!!..cant wait for the race!...
Youre right Freddie, if you want character and soul you dont want a BMW. And my 1994 Ducati 900SS looks so much nicer than that Ducati 950 sport. You can buy some fantastic bikes for under £5000.
Absolutely agree🙂. Ooooo that is a special Ducati you own- art👌🏻👌🏻
So, how was the Michelins? 😎
First..... Got there.
THANK YOU, and congrats Kevin!🙂🎉
You lucky so and so
I am!😆
