Well if you really want the spoiler. Lenne was a Songstress during the war with Zanakand. She fell in love with a soilder (guy who looks like Tidus from 10 and who was likly the basis for the dream that gave birth to him). Dress spheres often contain memories of those they are based off. Thus when Luna was singing a song inspired by Lenne the sphere reacted and she appeared to sing a duet.
Finished all the FF games and yet this scene is one of the most remembering ones. But if you played FFX all the way to the end you would have known it would have been impossible for Tidus to even be there. Thanks for the upload !

I don't watch this video much because it was great before, I watched it and it soothed me, but after a while it gets dull. i love this song and this game i've may have passed the game 7 times but this song still hits me in the heart cause it makes me think of my fallen friends over the years and how i'll never get to talk to them again and tell them i still think of them as my friends
Oh definitely. And it's one game I most certainly recommend. I've played many games, some memorable and some not, but FFX will always be the best one I've ever played.
This one of the best songs in any Final Fantasy. Not only is Yuna calming and maybe even unifing Spira, but she and Lenne are also singing their true feelings towards the men they love [Tidus and Shuyin].
If you watch carefully you'll notice Lenne's own costume jewelry appear as she takes over the vocals. She's the one wearing the long beads over her shoulders. She enters when the sparkles flash, and scenes of the past with her death in it begin, then re-enters Yuna in a flash before the final "A 1000 Words" is sung.
No matter how many times i listen to this song, i always feel like a lod has been lifted from my shoulders, however they came up with the inspiration for this song, i think its just amazing how just a song can make people feel at peace. 10/10 ^^

Remember, Lenne died in that dress. if anyone has played final fantasy X player, you know that Yuna did not sing at all in final fantasy X but in FFX-2, when she put on that dress sphere she was dancing and singing (Lenne's dress sphere) by the way Lenne was a singer before she died. The song A 1000 words was Lenne words to her boyfriend who looked like Tidus.
@anbtst 1 is yuna and the other in the end is the spirit of lenne, a dead girl (her spirit is inside the clothing so it glows when she comes out). lenne was the previous owner of the clothing before she died and she is the girlfriend of the primary antagonist of ffx-2 (the boyfriend is also dead)

I never did finish Final Fantasy X-2. But I did reach this scene, though I never did truly learn the conclusion to the arc with Shuyin and Yuna... But the scenes in this song with Shuyin and Lenne still make me tear up.
I love how shuyin's eyes to his enemies a dark and filled with hatred, theyre even black cuz of it. But when he looks at Lenne he's peaceful and sincere and happy , and they go a lovely blue too :)

Lenne stopped him, but they were both shot down by Soldiers. Lenne accepted her death and her spirit went into the clothing she wore, her boyfriend did not accept their death and walked the world as a terrible angry spirit. Thus X-2's story began 2000 years later.

No. They share only the barest of similarities. In all the ways that matter, Tidus and Shuyin are two entirely separate people. One just happens to be based off of the other.
Lenne is a songstress/summoner that lived in Zanarkand during the war between Zanarkand and Bevelle. Her love, Shuyin (who the fayth based Tidus off of) was worried that she would get sucked up into the war and die, so he went to find a weapon called Vegnagun that had the power to destroy the entire world. Lenne came and found him as he was about to activate the weapon, and stopped him. Then they died. Only Shuyin became an unsent, and Lenne left her memories in Yuna's dressphere (songstress).

the guy who looked like tidus name is shuyin. he survive the shooting and was imprisoned for trying to steal vegnagun, the big ass machina, he died in prison but his soul couldnt rest due to his anger towards spira. he was able to rest in piece when yuna brought lenne's soul to him.
