I love how you used the entire song rather than the shorter version from the Thunder Plains and used clips from both games. It really brings the story together. These games were a large part of my childhood and this video brought a tear to my eye. I know I'm a little late finding it, but I love it none the less.
+Francis Kert The STORY for FFX-2 was bad. Just about everything else in that game was amazing. The combat system, even though it was called the dress spheres, was so well done. Changing classes mid combat and getting bonuses based on doing so was inspired. If they had concentrated on making the story as epic feeling as the first game, the may have been a FFX-3, as opposed to FFXII and the crap that followed it.
+Manuel francisco LOZANO PARR Nah square greatest story was never the ff franchise but it was Xenogears. Xenogears was suppose to be ff7 story but it was too dark and complex so square ditched it. It was also Square biggest mistake back then for not including Xenogears in the ff franchise. I recommend you play it /

Besides, they never planned to make it FF7 it was just one idea submitted from one guy. ahh well...ff7 actually made me tear up a little more. but as far as love stories go...i tend to like ff10 more. i couldnt stand tidus much...but i felt bad for yuna the whole time. i had to play ff10-2 just to finish up for yuna...lol that being said...i am actually replaying the hd versions now. it's nice to replay it all...to 100% completion.

When I was playing FFX-2 in the first time (this year) and when I arrived at this point of the game, I carefully listened to music until the end, when the song ended I asked myself: Why am I crying? I just bought this game because long ago I saw someone playing and I was interested. I got so involved with the story anyway I tried to make a happy ending for Yuna and I got it. Today I'm trying to finish FFX and this story, even though it is sad, is the best of all the games I've played ...
I'd say final fantasy 10-2 wasn't the best game but it was so amazing to see everyone again for another story following Yuna and it gives you so many feelings listening to this song..... ;)
Jack Daniels Umm wow. I never try to kill new parts, but what you call awesome I call bland and uninteresting. As has been said by many I cant get attached to characters cause they are all basically emo. None of the characters in newer FF titles are like Zidane or Tidus, trying to find happiness in a bleak world. Instead characters like Lightning and Snow are like "woah is me empathize with me because Im all sad", that just doesnt work in developing any kind of emotional attachment to the character.
Jack Daniels I don't think the new stuff is crap but it's all MMOs. Right now the brand loyalty for square is slowly dissolving inside me because the last satisfying single player experience was X-2 and that was half as good as X.

I can't remember what they called the whole "branding process" but, to me at the time, it was interesting as a field study to potentially understand how a "schizophrenic" or someone with a "Messiah complex"... feels about their "delusions"... it is deterministic, though they will attempt to redeem it as fate... they are completely tools at the disposal of the hierarchy of the gods/powers that be, and their only reward is a restful sleep that withstands "comprehension"... the only reason to fulfill their "missions" is to avoid the fear and pain of basically "zombiehood" ... maybe it sounds insane (or not)... you likely understood this already but I just felt the need to express one of the "interesting features" of the plot? also the way that the society treats them is ooooobviously with heavy social control/engineering/propaganda...which you know adds further credence to the comparison... FF characters typically haven't, prior in the franchise, portrayed the "schizophrenic/messiah complex" model... Yuna might have... but she was reveeeeered for it... PS Lightning was created to harken back to Cloud (but a less fucked up Cloud ^_^) plus she was pretty baller/tough for having lost her sister and leaving her entire world behind... they threw in a dash of Vanilla (Vanille) for that feel good Prozac quality... Hope was probably the most frustrating... "eeeeeeeeeeeeemoooooooooooooo" character if you were to ask me... deliberate... they named him Hope after all...
Riley Mycelium Problem is that while yes the game may have taken up things about the Messiah complex, the over all problem is the characters where already in such a we are fucked state you couldnt care less what happened. Really you could argue Zidane faced somthing similiar in FFIX when he found out he was from another world and was meant as nothing more than a harbinger of Gaia's demise to rebuild the worl he came from. The reason he is more relatable than say Lightning or Hope or Vanille is that his emotions had ups and downs. He was happy/positive, then the doom of losing a friend, back to being gungho about finding out whats happening, then to depressed when he found out where he came from. When a game is all down hill, we know what will happen to Lightning and the lot when they finish their "Mission", then their is no reason to connect to their characters. Where Characters like Yuna, where we knew what was SUPPOSED to happen, she was supposed to die, we connect to as we fight for a way to save them.

i first watched my brother play this game when i was little. i grew up on the story of Tidus and Yuna. i guess you could say that they're my childhood heros/role-models. i remember that on all my MP3 players and CD players, i always had this song on there. it got me through so many hard times, and i can thank the touching story of final fantasy x. i was 5 years old when this game came out. im now 16, and i still listen to this song, and burst into tears of happiness.
Which is so much more fulfilling than going on a journey through an exciting world you do not know for the first time, in the safety and good company of friends managing to intersperse heartfelt and fun moments while going through trials out of selflessness, questioning traditions, coming to terms with death, dying and loss in general.

The purpose is to stop fighting between New Yevon and Youth League. In my idea, 1) thunder plain is a large space between both basements 2) stereo need electricity = thunder, 3) the ending of this scene by sky clearing is like clearing conflicts, which is apposite. I guess. But, still, why do concert in raining???

for some reason, to me at least...she didnt look so weird in the first part. but in 10-2 they tried too hard i think and it made her face weird. still an ok ending...but graphically...yes weird...lol
Well, i'm sorry , but I love Final fantasy X and Final fantasy X-2. I mean, the ending of final fantsy x was inconclusive, and it left hanging a lot of questions, and besides, you can see Tidus return at the end of Final fantasy x, and the continuation of Tidus return at the end of final fantasy X-2. Besides, obtaining 100% is really difficult.
X-2 was a "funny" experience for me.... what I was imagining was hmmm something more "epic" in scope? (like X), playing it I was somewhat disappointed by my first run through (which I played with no guidance or concept of completion whatsoever)... the lead males just seemed to have no history or much of a role I guess? but if you do play to one hundred percent it is a very decent game, excellent soundtrack also... something about the imagery... it's crafted into the scripting... really gives a person a sense of "deja vu" in playing the game... which is of course embellished by the whole Tidus/Yuna... Lenne/Shuyin recurrence... on that level... two big thumbs up! (still a "little bit more" would have been ... better... on that angle)... still trying to figure out to this day how Enix conceives precisely of the "return" of Lenne and Shuyin in the form of Yuna and Tidus... Maechen was the closest we got as I'm remembering it... sigh... I hate how Enix did that with both X and X-2... the meat and potatoes of their game mythos... are always easter egg scenes haha.... much like the whole OG Yevon and Yunalesca story on how Yevonism became the dominant religion of future Spira... crucial to understanding the plot I feel... but too easy to miss...but yeah maybe I need to play the game again... I feel like Shuyin and Tidus should have been faaaaaaar more "connected"... nowhere near enough Tidus in that game... the Fayth pieces together his memory again? THE FAYTH KNOW MORE ABOUT THE RETURN THAN THE SCRIPT LETS ON... #fantheorytime

It was a morning when I first heard this song. Woke up early to play a little before school, but the time to go came exactly when the song was starting. I went to school in awe.
I think the reason that this song- and the relationship between Tidus and Yuna- are so emotional in particular is because in FFX/X-2 it is not just a romance. It is a story of tension and what could never really be, of things that are wanted but held back, and things that are ultimately left unsaid but so painfully understood. I still cry like a baby at these games, 10 years later.
Realization: The melody of this song hitting my eardrums coupled with the emotional message conveyed through the story causes my entire body to act as if being hit by a massive shockwave or to put in laymens terms: This song gives me literal goosebumps

I hate it when an anime be it video game or tv show doesn't take their time, resulting in bad acting and just the overall ruining of a good idea. This however.... time was taken. To this day I'm still in awe.
I prefer FFXIII, that game is just amazing, but i absolutely love FFX and FFX-2, the story line on FFX was just epic and FFX-2 was just a load of fun, Square Enix made a good job of the Final Fantasy series :)

Last final fantasy game my granddad ever got to play, got bless your soul for the thousands of hours i watched you playing through final fantasy 1 to x-2, not to mention the other games similar to this
Am I the only one who thinks Yuna looks weird in HD cutscenes LOL.

for some reason, to me at least...she didnt look so weird in the first part. but in 10-2 they tried too hard i think and it made her face weird. still an ok ending...but graphically...yes weird...lol

Well, i'm sorry , but I love Final fantasy X and Final fantasy X-2. I mean, the ending of final fantsy x was inconclusive, and it left hanging a lot of questions, and besides, you can see Tidus return at the end of Final fantasy x, and the continuation of Tidus return at the end of final fantasy X-2. Besides, obtaining 100% is really difficult.
it just brings back the memories when i completed both games, the time and effort spend. Worth it.
X-2 was a "funny" experience for me.... what I was imagining was hmmm something more "epic" in scope? (like X), playing it I was somewhat disappointed by my first run through (which I played with no guidance or concept of completion whatsoever)... the lead males just seemed to have no history or much of a role I guess? but if you do play to one hundred percent it is a very decent game, excellent soundtrack also... something about the imagery... it's crafted into the scripting... really gives a person a sense of "deja vu" in playing the game... which is of course embellished by the whole Tidus/Yuna... Lenne/Shuyin recurrence... on that level... two big thumbs up! (still a "little bit more" would have been ... better... on that angle)... still trying to figure out to this day how Enix conceives precisely of the "return" of Lenne and Shuyin in the form of Yuna and Tidus... Maechen was the closest we got as I'm remembering it... sigh... I hate how Enix did that with both X and X-2... the meat and potatoes of their game mythos... are always easter egg scenes haha.... much like the whole OG Yevon and Yunalesca story on how Yevonism became the dominant religion of future Spira... crucial to understanding the plot I feel... but too easy to miss...but yeah maybe I need to play the game again... I feel like Shuyin and Tidus should have been faaaaaaar more "connected"... nowhere near enough Tidus in that game... the Fayth pieces together his memory again? THE FAYTH KNOW MORE ABOUT THE RETURN THAN THE SCRIPT LETS ON... #fantheorytime

This was one of the most amazing stories in the history of FF. Very touching song... takes me back. Makes me want to play it again to relive it again.
I love how you blended Yuna's Dream with the scene of Lenne and Shuyin absolutely amazing

I think the reason that this song- and the relationship between Tidus and Yuna- are so emotional in particular is because in FFX/X-2 it is not just a romance. It is a story of tension and what could never really be, of things that are wanted but held back, and things that are ultimately left unsaid but so painfully understood.
I still cry like a baby at these games, 10 years later.
Realization: The melody of this song hitting my eardrums coupled with the emotional message conveyed through the story causes my entire body to act as if being hit by a massive shockwave or to put in laymens terms:

I hate it when an anime be it video game or tv show doesn't take their time, resulting in bad acting and just the overall ruining of a good idea. This however.... time was taken. To this day I'm still in awe.
I prefer FFXIII, that game is just amazing, but i absolutely love FFX and FFX-2, the story line on FFX was just epic and FFX-2 was just a load of fun, Square Enix made a good job of the Final Fantasy series :)
