    I’ve been using an X-Spirit 3 on track for a while now and have just pre-ordered the X-SPR Pro in Matte Black. I’m not expecting to notice too much difference but the X-Spirit 3 took a bit of a knock in a crash so it’s a good excuse to upgrade anyway.

    I have an X spirt 3 by far the best all round comfortable helmet I've owns
    Where it stands out is how it's super stable at high speed

    The problem with this top of the line helmet from shoei is that they dont look exciting enough. Look at hjc 1n, shark aeron gp, nolan x804rs and agv pista gp rr, they look exciting while sitting on the shelf

    Great review as always
    Great shoei build quality
    Like the front opening visor
    Hoping venting performance as good previous version cos the vent above visor is gone.

    hi Tony! great and honest review as always. I waiting you to review of shark race r pro GP. please do it soon. cheers!

    Since a lot of people will arguably use the helmet on the street, one concern I have is that huge vent on the top as it's directly placed above the windshield airflow and it'll likely suck a lot of bugs and crud in. Ventilation looks fantastic, but how will it be to clean?
    In this case, I'm more drawn towards the new RPHA 1 just because the top vents can be covered during seasons where a lot of bugs are flying around ...

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was an absolute bugfest when I had this lid and it wasn't a hassle to clean it up when the review was done. Quick poke around in the vents with a cotton bud and everything was fine again. I wore an RPHA-1 on the same track session and the finished review of that one is due up soon. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

    Sportsbike shop seem to be opening shops all over the uk , so why not open one in Scotland it would save folks having to pay for returns which is expensive if they are heavy items .

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We'd love to have a store in Scotland. It's just a matter of finding the right location and the right premises for it. As for saving money on returns, they're free on orders over £75 for everyone except residents of the Highlands and Islands (who would probably still find it cheaper to send back rather than pay the travel costs to a store in Scotland). Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

    Hi! Nice review there! I would very much like to know which Rukka jacket is the one you wear o the video. It looks absolutely amazing!

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah, the jacket with the 'R' logo is actually by Richa, not Rukka. It's the Airstream X. You can see the listing here... www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/473426 and the review... th-cam.com/video/i-sxfcg0gzQ/w-d-xo.html Thanks for the kind comment on the review. When are you going to compare arai rx-7v evo helmet and shoei x-spr pro. When is sharp tested? Thank you for these tests.

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      We'll have a think about that comparison idea. As for when the Shoei will be SHARP rated, that's a very good question. It's now been eight months (254 days) since the last rating was revealed so I won't be holding my breath. Cheers, Tony

    Great review, which specific Sena comms would you use with this helmet??

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think any comms with speakers of less than 40mm would be fine, and the 40mm speakers will be OK too if you have a little bit of room at the ears (most people will have room I'd say). I'd suggest choosing the comms on what you want them to do. We've written a handy guide here... www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/articles/advice-and-guides/how-to-choose-a-motorcycle-intercom Cheers, Tony

    Which dark visor is that? Is it the NXR2 version? I’ve just ordered a white SPR from you but want a dark visor, I don’t need tear offs, but want to make sure the NXR2 visor will fit.

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, yes - that is a dark visor from an NXR 2. The standard visors aren't identical, but remain interchangeable. Cheers, Tony

  • @giamademedoit

    just bought one. Closed all vents, still blows air in my face though. Anyone else had the same experience? I think the visor doesnt touch the seals.

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Have you been riding with the chin curtain installed? It comes in the box. If you've had that in and still had a draught, I'd suggest visiting your Shoei dealer. If you haven't, I'd try the helmet with the curtain in to see whether the draught is entering from the bottom of the helmet. Cheers, Tony

    • @giamademedoit
      @giamademedoit 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@sportsbikeshop hey Tony, thanks a lot for the quick reply! Chin curtain was on. All inlets closed. Still at 14 degrees Celsius it would blow some air in my face. Visor securely locked. Idk if it's a defect. I know it's a racing helmet and maybe it should be ventilated and only for the best weather. Just my assumption but I was hoping to be able to ride it in all weather conditions.

  • @ThemadViking793

    Which one is better? Shoei X-SPR Pro or Arai RX-7V Evo?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All choices like this depend on your personal priorities and, especially, your head shape. Personally, if I were looking for a helmet for a lot of track use then I would marginally favour the Shoei for its lower weight and superior aero/venting. And if I were riding mostly on the road and had to choose only one of these two helmets then I'd just about favour the Arai for its comfort on my bonce. As I say, that's just me and anyone should give both a close inspection and try-on before making a call between them. Cheers, Tony

    Will this Vent well in an upright riding position? I keep buying helmets with high venting promises and I’m always let down and hot.. I need the absolute best venting helmet. On a Indian challenger 🙏

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This helmet would have been designed to work best in a tucked position. I preferred the Shoei NXR2 for venting on my Yamaha FZ-1 Fazer. The absolute best ventilation I've experienced came from a Schuberth C5, and that was when worn in an upright riding position. Our NXR2 review is here... th-cam.com/video/i5qz_GMw5wc/w-d-xo.html and C5... th-cam.com/video/7lTwEwC5djc/w-d-xo.html Thanks for getting in touch and good luck with finding the right helmet for you. The x-spirit 3 was narrower than the Arai or Nolan fitment wise, will it fit the same with the new adjustment system?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fit is similar to the X-Spirit 3, though it is a little less face-hugging. I would expect others to still fit wider, but my head is quite wide and I had no issues at all with the SPR Pro. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

    is the visor photochromatic and if not is there an option to upgrade to one?

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not photochromatic and no word on a specific option for the X-SPR Pro. There is a photochromatic visor for the NXR 2 and that could fit, but it wouldn't have tear-off posts. Thanks for getting in touch. Cheers, Tony

    • @sportsbikeshop
      @sportsbikeshop  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Both very good helmets, but I'd say build quality is a bit higher on the Shoei. Try them both and see which suits your head better, then go with that. Cheers, Tony

      The built Quality is the same overall.
      I like the shape of the Shark but the technology of the Shoei is superior.
