I got both of these in Wintertest 2020 for the GPRR and Barcelona graphics for the X15. IMO Shoei X15 is the better buy. The X15 feels lighter on the head, i get a neck pain often during extensive use on the Pista. I don't know why the Pista is on the heavier side tho it's made of carbon, compared to the other brand models that are also made of carbon. The X15 is quieter too even with the vents are open. Plus there are actual speaker pockets on the X15, yeah I get it they are race helmets and are not designed to have a comm system installed on them.. but if the other brands can do it, why AGV can't? The comfort is also won by the X15. Design wise excluding the grahics, both of them are stunning.
I really wish the agv was priced around 1-1.1k instead of 14-1800. It’s so good looking and being fully carbon and lightweight would be nice. It’s a tough call but the price tag is really steering me toward the shoei
I had my x15 custom fitted and made in Japan by shoei when I visited and man it’s so good. I wanna try the pista because it looks so good. The x15 is awesome but the shape of the pista is social media attractive. The shoei is practical and the philosophy when they made and design the x15 is insane and mind blowing. If you can speak Japanese visit the factory and ask for a tour. I was lucky when I got along with the manager there and we vibed showed me around. Awesome feeling ever.
@@SpeedAddictsTVbecause their parts are from china. AGV denied my warranty for a faulty latch on the visor and tried blaming me in the store. It wasn’t until I put them on blast on my social media till they changed their mind
AGV marketed their helmets well by using influencers and tiktokers. People who have tried both Shoei and AGV's understand there is a stark difference between japanese and italian quality. Shoei doesn't need to do any sort of marketing and uses their money on research and improves each iteration of their helmets with statistics to back it up
My Pista RR fits my head better than my x15. I prefer my Pista over my x15 in every area just about. The only thing i think shoei did better is noise level, but i run ear plugs with both so it doesn't make a difference. Shoei has always been very popular, but is annoying that 1400-x15 visors/pads/pinlocks are always instantly sold out when restocked and tbh there graphics have always been boring.
Is the AGV truly the best of Italy ? I feel like it's the most overrated helmet on the market. How about comparison to let's say Suomy SR GP Carbon and X-Lite X 803 Carbon ?
Suomy are not Better than the pista,IE Bagnaia use a suomy because Suomy pay a hefty price for be Bagnaia helmet, same goes for Maverick with the not so well know Kabuto helmet,in Italy AGV pista Is the best but the new Alpinestar supertech R10 could surpass It in the future, check It out
@@fqeagles21 you kind of speak like in kindergarten. Yes we all know that the riders get good sponsorship money for wearing protective gear. Anyway, I believe that AGV is a lot hyped for what it is. And it's way way overpriced. Personally, I use Arai as there is certainly no substitute. Shoei comes close. But I'm going to give the Carbon Suomy a shot next.
I just wanna know how he remembers all these facts and explains them all while tracking

That's really awesome!
Charging $1.4K for a helmet and only coming with a 1 year warranty is so odd...
I never understood why AGV's warranty is so minimal.
@@SpeedAddictsTV Right? Doesn't your warranty directly correlate with the confidence in your own product? So weird

Good recommendation. The Pista is certainly costly, but in our opinion it out preforms 'most' other top flight racing helmets on the market.

@@ducedevlstear2471 i said in Italy (meaning from italian brand) ,not in the world,BTW check Alpinestar Supertech R10
@ducedevlstear2471 Both Shoei and Arai are priced better than AGV AND they have the Japanese craftsmanship behind them.
Thank you .. helped make my decision, x-fifteen for me.
Is the x-15 the same helmet as the xprs pro ?
The XPR Pro is the Euro version of the X-15.
The X-SPR is also over 0.5 lbs lighter than the X-15 because it isn’t as thick/hard. It’s not DOT rated, but it’s FIM certified.
X15 calm and coll 🔥
SHOEI is better than AGV !
We really love the X-15 too.

That was the most subjective, unscientific comparison I’ve ever endured. Had to turn in off. You do not know what you are talking about

Having worn both, he seems to know what he is talking about.
