Thank you for the video. My brother is 35. Went into cardiac arrest 6 days ago while in the ambulance while on the way to the hospital. Took 15 minutes & 7 rounds of CPR to revive but didn't wake up. Had him on propofol & Versed (as well as Fentanyl).. sedatives have been withdrawn fully now for almost 40 hours. Still on fentanyl (low dose). Responding to pain properly. Reached for breathing tube in agitation. Somewhat looks at you when calling him. Not off ventilator quite yet. Breathing mostly on his own but not quite ready to remove ventilator. Neurologist said CT scan and EEGs look pretty normal for the most part. No signs of myoclonus. Will he keep waking up little by little?
When one is in a coma being fed with a feeding tub and the patient has a UTI plus pneumonia could the sugar in the feeding tub add to the infection? What about probiotics after having been on antibotics for months. Couldn't it help cause the UTI and Pneumonia?
