My yard is sloped like that. Did you dig more on one side than the other to event it out. If so would I dig more at the top of the slope or bottom. This is so amazing, I start today, but still slanted.
How is it holding up? How thick was limestone you added? Also did you add any morter or concrete undder.. goes so fast couldn't really see if you added any on limestone before putting on the pavers and tapping.
Hey yes around 1:03 is when we added the screening. You can also slow down the video in the settings. The limestone was probably less than an inch or so. It’s holding up great and it’s been a few years :)
Does water flow towards the patio still since you didn’t regrade the whole yard? I’m building one now and have estimated mine is going to be similar where the yard is higher at the end of it and will likely have to do what you did.
Hey! the plastic sheet is landscaping fabric, to help prevent weeds from growing out. The jointing sands is to help close up the gaps and secure the slabs more
Hey ya'll, Rion Morgan here in Vegas. Awesome Video! Can you please tell me if those are temporary? Did you lay them with concrete? It did not look wet? The wife and I are renting so I have some nice fleckstone I want to lay giving her a nice BARBQ area. Needs to be temporary maybe sand in between or something?
Hey! These are permanent for us but you easily disassemble. It’s stone slabs, no need to have concrete. At the end we used jointing sands to fill the cracks, which bonds when it’s wet. The bond is not super hard to “demolish” though we do not plan on that :)
@@Doodahdoodles thank you! It’s held up really well! Still in the same shape and no shifting, and this is with several thousand pounds of water in the hot tub over it for last 2-3 seasons!
Hello there 😊.. Amazing and very interesting project. Super like 👌👌👌 Thanks for sharing Do keep posting new 🆕 ideas 💡 Warm regards and best wishes The UnknownManCub 👍😎🧑🏭
Hey Bootsy, we did a Timelapse which really was meant to document our progress in a sped up fashion. I think you can slow down the video in the TH-cam playback setting. Thanks for watching!
So many people helping! 🥳🥳🤩🎊🎊
Now that's the first time I've ever seen a doggie supervise a project....Well Done!!!!!!👍🏽
lol thank you! Our productivity was 100% better due to her supervision XD
Well done! Looks like Doggo was eager to help too. Love it ❤
Lol thank you! She was the project manager for sure!
@@TheRamys She definitely has management qualities. Best wishes.

Nice work ladies - well done!
Thank you!
I love your supervising dog. haha. They're such good helpers.
lol project would not be done on time if she weren’t supervising :)
fabulous job! loved the fast video and no talkin, talkin talkin, like other videos!!!!
Thank you so much for your feedback :)
Wow!! This is so inspiring!! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed!!
Much respect to you ladies, im a new home owner and damn is tiring work ....
Thank you for the kind words! It was definitely not an easy project but very fulfilling
Looks great! Perfect for a hot tub.👍
Thank you! It’s multipurpose too when the hot tub is not out :)
good job! it looks amazing
Thanks!
Great job! Learnt how to neatly take grass out
Thank you! Glad it helped :)
What tool was used to remove the grass?
I can relate to the dog randomly standing in the way
lol they have to insert themselves, and almost always right in front of you :)
Seems like a good weekend family project!
You are so right! It was a really fun project!
I’m digging for a walkway and dying already.
You can do it!! It was definitely tough… lol I’m not sure how we mustered up the strength lol
Hard work. It is very nice. Thanks.
Thank you!! It was our first time and we are so happy the way it turned out :)
My yard is sloped like that. Did you dig more on one side than the other to event it out. If so would I dig more at the top of the slope or bottom. This is so amazing, I start today, but still slanted.
Thanks! Yes, dig more on the side that has the higher ground so essentially you are leveling it.
How is it holding up? How thick was limestone you added? Also did you add any morter or concrete undder.. goes so fast couldn't really see if you added any on limestone before putting on the pavers and tapping.

Since it’s the lawn all around it, the water flow isn’t an issue
This is beautiful where did you purchase the pavers and how many did you get
Thank you! We got them at Home Depot, 25 pieces :)
Looks like you got more help when the hard work was done, usually how it goes
Lol great you caught that!! The earlier part we had a great project manager (our dog) lol
Hello, really great work, I just want to know what is the plastic at the bottom and why did you close the pores from the top?
Hey! the plastic sheet is landscaping fabric, to help prevent weeds from growing out. The jointing sands is to help close up the gaps and secure the slabs more

Curious what you did inbetween if you didn't want to make it permanent
What is the blue bag hold ? Sand ?
Do you have an estimate of costs for the start to finish of the patio? Very inspiring exactly what I need and was looking for!!
Hey! Thanks for watching :) depending on where you live, I don’t remember the exact but roughly the materials were about $300-400
So does the water accumulate on the pavers now since you dug it below the slope?
No, we made sure to have a slight grade so that the water will slide off the pavers, make sure to do that
How do you make the grade while keeping the pavers even?
We used limestone screening which kept it very even
Great project! What is the mesh material that you used between the screenings and the slabs? Thanks
It was a fun and challenging project! I believe it is called landscaping fabric
Good job guys!!
It was tough but we did it!
How many hours did this take, start to finish?
It was done over the 2 days during a weekend, maybe 20 hours if I had to guess the total time
where did you get those tile from? like what’s the brand name too?? TY!!
Not sure about the brand but we got them from Home Depot
Two different kind of sand ?
Limestone screening underneath then jointing sand
Hi where did you find the pavers like this
Home Depot :)
🔥 🔥 👏
What was the thing that you pored over the black plastic sheets?
leveling sand
Limestone screening
How long did this take from start to finish?
About two and half days
@@TheRamys nice good job. Has it lasted well?

Thats one iam thinking mate?
Hey! Not Australia, but in Canada :)

HOW MANY SAND BAGS YOU USE?
Hey we used about 6-7 bags of stone screening. I forget how many polymeric sands we used, probably 1 -2 bags
@@TheRamys how much u spend all?
Where's the hot tub video!
I’ll take a video when we set it up this season :)
el desnivel?
It’s pretty even :)
Slow down and explain
