I'm so so happy I found this video!! all the negative reviews have made me so sad bc I absolutely loved this book!! as a diehard peter pan fan (the book the movies pixie hollow etc) it meant so much more to me and it felt like such a perfect homage to barrie's story while also being completely uniquely jessa's world. it was so imaginative and whimsical and nostalgic and so many moments made me giddy or full on sob and its been a month since I read it and I haven't stopped thinking about it. I already miss the world she created and I need the next book now
It was awesome to watch your reactions ❤ I loved this book! I think a lot of the people who don’t like it aren’t as familiar with the original Peter Pan. Peter isn’t a likable character and Jessa Hastings did a great job with translating that in her rendition. He’s exactly how I would imagine him “grown up”. I wouldn’t recommend it to people who prefer a heavy plot. It’s definitely character driven.
The Mick Jagger poster 😂😂😂😂 probably one of my favorite parts. I really hope she continues the series. Absolutely loved it. Now I have to read Magnolia Parks.
thank you for your review! it nice to have someone who knew the story of peter pan review this book. I have seen reading creators that won't even review it, cause it offensive or it just so bad. I am not the biggest fan of peter pan however i am clever enough to know that them fairytales (peter pan, alice in the wonderland ect) didn't start out with happy ever afters or have them good people in them. They were made that way for children and people take the kids version and put that in the place of the acutally original story and then critzie the book thats based on the original version. I understand if you don't like a book that fine but the amount of hate and people acting like its the worst book in world is a little bit silly.
