Wow Raven is the non Straight Edge CM Punk. Wrestler with the mindset of a Director. He never actually talks bad about Punk or '5star matches', he just says Punk can't be taught (he says he's the same way) and points out how the business is about drawing money and high spot matches are only a small piece of the puzzle. Years later, you can see Punk learned the hard way. I'd like to see them work together in some capacity in this 'new' era.
They had Jake Roberts in their locker. The master of ring psychology and....nothin. Either Jake was just takin a paycheck or Meltzer knows more than the snakeman.

In all of these video, I swear the only point Raven was wrong about was CM Punk being a star in the WWE. Although Punk got over in WWE with character work and promos more than in ring.

Ravens the best shooter in wrestling history. He's a genius...AEW needs him as a developer or a booker. Their storylines are so watered down, and every match is a spot fest without any fuel to the fire. Punk definitely learned a thing or two from raven, regardless of what he says.
Raven's illustration was perfect though. Punk eventually paid a lot of attention to character work and promos and he's one of the best loved wrestlers of today, 15 years later. Meanwhile who's ever even seen Elix Skipper since like 2006?
