0:04. Every runner ever who opens the window on a Sunday and its sunshine and no wind for their long run!
Thank you Jack!
Great to see all the youtubers at the start! Cool race have always wanted to do a 20 mile race in lead-up to marathon, would be ideal prep! Looks sunny too, great effort!
Indeed ideal prep 👍🏼
Well done x
Thank you Claire 🙏🏼
Well done with your 20 miles idid 16 miles 50 time was 3hours I doing chestetr marathon this be my 2 one 😀
Excellent Lorraine 🏆
Great stuff, Donato! Glad the heel held up okay.
Me too Mack! Was a bit worrying. Hope your knee is feeling better?
@@PoetWithPace Took an extra rest day instead of Parkrun tourism and I think that helped a lot. Taper time now 🎉
@@Mack.Trackssmart move! Indeed we have done the hard work and now taper time 😜
An 'Ernest' comment about Mr Wise, Donato (Eric & Ernie reference). Looked like the race could have done with some Sunshine!
Ahh Eric & Ernie happy memories. Indeed there was sunshine but too windy on sections to appreciate it till the dark clouds arrived 😱. Hope you enjoyed watching this?
@@PoetWithPaceIt looked like a very welcoming event. I might consider it for next year.
@@callmeal4183indeed very welcoming 👍🏼
Great video, don't suppose you know the name of the Adidas vest you wore, cheers
Sadly no idea what the vest is called as i have had this for many years
You should be pleased and proud. What was your shoe choice? They made a slappedy slap sound like Alphaflys.
Indeed very proud! They are a lot quieter than the alphas… adidas Pro 3
@@PoetWithPace A good shoe choice. I raced in Alphas on Sunday and they didn't quite suit a pot holed ridden hilly course. In hindsight, I should have also worn addidas Pro 3s (which I generally prefer anyway).
@@jimmyjames7800 indeed! Lots out on course in latest Nike but all super noisy 😱
Really interesting video, how you thought your way through the best way to use your race to support marathon training. We were wondering what percentage of runners in a 20 mile race actually race the thing? Very few I would think.
I think a lot were racing looking at finishing times and their predicted marathon times. Did see some other youtuber race at a different event at marathon pace for the whole 20
