I love this theme, when I play the game during winter season, I almost always try to select a snow terrain map so that this theme plays while I sit in my room playing with the fireplace going in the background as well as the snow falling outside, in addition having a cup of hot coffee or tea next to me, just beautiful ❤️
HoMM3 was the game that introduced me to classical music and how beautiful it is🎼🎻💖. And since back then I love listening to the HoMM-Ost from time to time🎼🙌😃 . Let's take this masterpiece for example🎼...I always imagined myself walking knee deep in snow through a seemingly endlesss snowfield, in the middle of a snowstorm, while the harsh ice cold wind feels like razor blades touching your face🌬❄🌨. The music in HoMM3 was always so fitting for the scenario/landscape/town you were in😃. The composers did amazing👏💖
I agree I see also snow, wind, sun and cluds and thinking about astronomy and beautyfull collage of rising moim and coming down down on snowy landskapes of small hills and sometimes some small birds hidden sommwher

It's unbelieveable how many years I've been playing this game..(since beta), but NEVER get tired of it is always refreshing/enjoyable/relaxing...a magic i hope that will never fade.
I'm accompanying my brother to make his 1 year army mission and we're in knee deep snow. And this is the music we're listening right now ( real, no imagining). George A. Romero created a masterpiece with these games ( all Heroes games up until 5). And 3DO created a cult classic that set the bar too high. I don't think there will ever be a better fantasy-themed TBS anytime soon (and I'm writing this from 2023).
taa/taa/ta/taa/daa/daa repeating and changing the last key, then going back, the winter is not yet over, theres hope that the day brings some warmth and light.. wind howls.. animals are sleeping, some squirrels searching for nuts, then getting back to their tree and sleep more..

What really amazes me is that the 'snow' wind sounds cold, while the desert theme 'sand' wind sounds hot and dry!!

There is something magical in this track. It makes you wish you could sit on a top of large Mountain, watch and think till the end of time.
I loved this theme back in 2000 when I was 13 years old. It still haunts me to this very day in a most delicate way possible.
