I used one side of my pipe for the ailerons and used the #40 holes. Turned the pipe 180 degrees for the flaps, and drilled it #30. Cut my pipe 7 feet long to work for both flaps and ailerons.
@@CLEAREDDIRECT Right on. It's around 100f here too. It's been a sweaty time in the garage getting my bike done. It's on the road and running pretty good but there's always something. A couple of minor-ish issues and it'll run cherry.
@@CLEAREDDIRECT So much every day stuff needs a bit of translation. For example, in Canada, 'fried' means 'cooked in a pan' and in the states, it usually means 'boiled in oil'. which we call 'deep fried'. And, of course, there's 'Eh?'
Oh haha Tomas is family. He's a college student at Texas A&M working on his PPL and wanted some exposure to the aviation life. RANS has a map on their website of builder/owner locations. Also the EAA is a pretty good resource. Good luck!
That’s one helluva helper. He’ll remember these moments for his whole life.
Love the build crew you got there! You look like a real assembly line! 🙂
Thanks Matt! Don’t tell the Labor department 🤐

It’s coming together! Killing it as usual👍
Hardly killing it (or so it feels), but thanks Josh!
Kinda nifty having the Coles notes version and the feature length version. All y'all are killing it. Groovy, man.
Thanks, Joe! Waiting on parts and it's over 100deg F today, so it was nice to catch up a little on editing. Still have a few in the queue.

@@Joe_Not_A_Fed Groovy! By the way, I’m guessing Coles Notes is Canadian. Down here we have Cliff’s Notes. Weird how things vary across borders.

How did you get linked up with Thomas? I would love to get connected with a builder that is local to me in Phoenix.

Consider raising your workbench, it may be more comfortable. Some shots it looks mid-thigh.
Unfortunately the wing requires a standard height workbench since it’s thick. I’m 6’4” so everything looks a bit low.
Did you get your nose stuck in it somehow?
Skin cancer treatment
What’s your address? I’m sending you sunscreen.
Edit: Oh. Carry on.
Minor skin cancer. Nbd
