Every time I’ve seen Wong play, I’ve been impressed. She’s young, but doing her part very well!
Her international experience with the German volleyball league has definitely sharpened her making her take a well-deserved spot in the USA roster for the 2021 Olympics.

I much as I admire Robinson’s pipe attacks what impressed me the most in this match is her digs. Not surprised though, she did play the Libero in some matches before. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Her digs and passings were so good. This is her advantage over taller ws players like kim hill and Bartsch-Hackley
She is an all arounder.

@@piriyamc my favorite team, yet Serbia, China and Italy will go with their best. It will be a dog fight for a place on the podium. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 they’ll strike gold. I hope KK made the right decision about leaving Carlini out, favoring Poulter.
Just seeing Akinradewo on the court is satisfying and exciting ^^
USA has such a great team, including those on the bench. In this coming Olympics, the only two players who I 100% feel should be starting are Lauren Carlini and Kelsey Robinson. USA always looks their best with Carlini, and Kelsey has proven to be the go to hitter. She is so good all over, but out of the back row she is just unstoppable.
And if Carlini is the setter, then I see Annie Drews being another that is for sure. She is so good, but especially when Carlini is setting her.
Carlini looks crazy sometimes... I prefer Hancock with that jump serve & experience. & Poulter because she is the new rising... KELSEY & Larson will be starting with Foluke & Washington
I think Akinradewo is looking really good as well! her experience and leadership would be a great addition to the Olympic roster!

I can see Carlini, Robinson and Drews in the starting line up. They also have a new hitter who is as deadly as Drews.
Brasil, USA,Turkey one of them wil certainly be champion of vnl 2021.
In the normal circumstances I would put in that group ,CHINA, Serbia and Italy ,plus USA and Brazil, ,but it’s quite obvious that the Americans are way ahead of all the other nations . And let’s face it, Brazil wouldn’t even be in this conversation if those countries would’ve have brought their main squads, Turkey it’s still very unstable,but when they play ,they do play .USA team will be the champion of this third edition for sure .
italy, serbia and china still haven't used their main players yet, so we can't tell
but usa do have really good players, everyone is competitive and good

Turkey has big success in vnl 2018 and 2019. İn addition to this, Turkey is last finalist of European champion ship. Italy and Serbia do not have their good players. China has also some problems.

Wow!! USA has deep bench! I wonder how coach Karch pick who will be playing the next game? I bet its hard to choose, they are all competitive and good. But thats a good problem though! Go team USA!!!
I think they take turn to play in every game, which is good for USA team. They all play good.

@@CanoManuelGonzaga kelsey was mvp too and so was larson; not everyone can play at the same time...besides from what I saw hill and bartch are not playing too well.
He probably does a coin toss on who will play every match 😂 whoever he puts inside delivers.
@@CanoManuelGonzaga USA has lower and faster sets which doesn't go well with Hill bec. of her height. That's why she performs better in Imoco than in team USA.
I hope Karch sees how special and useful Carlini and Hancock are and that they're the more superior setters of his team. Hoping that he'll bring these two to the Olympics.

@@francis5107 which works for Hill that's why she scores better when its with Hancock.
@@martinsalvdor1665 hill works with faster balls. Look at how wolosz sets hill on imoco fast and low. She's so effective in imoco than in USA
@@francis5107 it's true that Hill prefers the lower and faster balls, she's been playing it since with Glass, Kreklow, Thompson, Lloyd and Hancock. That's why Carlini and Poulter and even Ognjenovic and Wolosz adjusts their sets when it comes to Hill. In regards with Poulter, she has A LOT to work on, her foot work, decision making, blocking (which is surprising because of her height) leadership, grittiniess, etc. Hancock and Carlini on the other hand have mastered all these and ticks all the boxes. Hancock's plays are NOT slow, it's the tempo that Karch wants, it's the American system. Poulter plays that well too but Carlini and Hancock are just objectively speaking way better than her. But of course, Karch is a coach who favours his younger players and is known for his massive favouritism, I'm kind of in doubt that he'll pick Hancock over Poulter.

Bartsch is not consistent attacker since vnl 2018 when she was a deserved mvp.
I choose Plummer, since new generations of player are necesary. Also miss Madison Kindom
Next tokyo, Foluke will lead a major rol in scoring. I think setters must improve connection with Foluke.

O kadar iyi oynuyorlar ki nasıl biz maçı alıcaz bunlara karşı hiç bilmiyorum. Aşırı hızlı oynuyorlar ve inanılmaz atletikler. Nasıl bu kadar fit olabiliyorlar? Neyi farklı yapıyorlar?
Benimde dikkati mi çekti ne kadar zorlansalarda bir yerde maçı koparıyorlar özellikle ilk setlerde başa baş gidiyorlar ama o kritik anda bir şekilde koparıyorlar sırbistan ve bugün hollanda mental olark güçlüler düşmüyorlar ve özgüvenliler ve ilk seti aldıklarında diğer setleri çok kolay alıyorlar
Aynen katiliyorum cok formdalar ve hizli oyun kurup oynuyorlar. Bizimkiler malesef yavas kaliyo bunlarin yaninda. Ebrar etkili ama yavas ve savunmasi cok iyi degil. Simge, Meliha ve Hande cogu zaman arkada iyi karsiliyolar toplari. Blokla ve orta oyunculari oyuna katarak sansimizi arttirabiliriz.
Gördüğünüz oyuncuların hepsi ülke dışında kendilerini geliştiriyolar. Bizim kızlarda altyapıda yetiştiği yere kapak atıp ömürlerini bi klüpte geçiriyolar. Farklı olan şey bu.

If you don't know, now you know, HANCOCK is ma girl and I love to see her play! Glad she got to use her deadly jumpspin, I am impressed with Jordan L., as I have been a harsh critic of her in the past 2 years. I am also happy that Kelsey gets to play because she was great last Olympics and she can be big this year too! I do wish there was a better connection in the middle and some better set placement, but overall a good effort. Go USA!!!
I agree 100%. Setters must improve connection with middles, specially Foluke...she has letal and decisive attack
@@meninho3303 ABSOLUTELY! I think Foluke (based on this video) got better sets, but I noticed more misconnects with Tori. Could be wrong though 🤷🏿♂

Why didn't the Netherlands main players play? Where are they? They play very well. Number 5,7,3,10 and others.
I think this was the strongest roster for USA here in VNL. Maybe coach Karch is still testing his team’s roster for preparation for Olympics.

can someone explain to me how the Olympics works? I thought all these players go to the Olympic but there's just a limit on how many can be added to the roster for each game....just like here in the vnl there are some people that are not even on the bench at times but show up the next day to play...I'm thinking all these players will get to play at the Olympics just throughout the tournament....am I wrong?
I think every country need to bring 12-15 players

For me, Karch Kiraly is the best coach in the world takes a team without the main stars and turns it into that we are seeing a team playing very completely different from the coach of Brazil who comes with maximum strength and loses to the reserve team of the USA, this is called technician the loaned it's time for Brazil to put new blood because Brazil is one of the greatest power in the world in women's and men's volleyball
Of course Karch Kiraly is a legend in volleyball along with giba of brazil for the men's volleyball
NED couldve used their middle blockers and right wing spikers more than the left wing.
Dixon moves pretty well for someone who weighs 633 lbs.

USA is the virtual winner of this tournament. Brazil, Netherlands and Japan come after. Turkey is hard to know, since until now they only played against weak teams.

The USA can field in their "Team B" (OH: Plummer/Wilhite-Parsons, OS: Thompson, S: Hancock, MB: Dixon/Tapp & L: Courtney or even Hentz) and the team can still beat or compete with the elite teams' Team A. Thats how good the system is. Look at Italy, China & Serbia. Remove Zhu, Boskovic & Egonu and they will all surely struggle.

@@ajollypanda4175 i know!!!!! If we’re basing on current performance and not merits we will see Parsons, Plummer & Carlini on the official line up!! But i’m confident these 3 will continue on and be part of the next Olympic Cycle and OGs itself (they’ll be 29, 25 & 29 respectively) so i hope they still play at the level we see them today, or even better! Imagine a 2024 team with Plummer, J Thompson, Rettke, Hentz, Carlini, Parsons, Madison Lilley, Brionne Butler, Logan Eggleston etc. That is a gold team if you would ask anyone!

This is an Olympic year, and the VNL is the only major competition before the Olympics. I think USA is using VNL this year to evaluate players to make a final decision for the Tokyo roster, as well as to give the team a chance to play together in real matches before the Olympics. In other years VNL would be used to develop young talent. This year is different. Netherlands are not in the Olympics so there approach to playing in VNL this year is different they can give younger players a chance.
