The biggest mistake you made? You bought a very uncomfortable tent! It is too small for two grown up men! These tents are used by single hikers or motorcyclists! Pop-up is okay, but....let's be honest, you didn't use any checklists which you can find on the internet! I mean: no mugs, no cutlery and the most important rock-pins to secure the tent.... That air matras, really..... You should have invested in two separate and thick ones. Buy a bigger tent made of cotton, it will bring some comfort and space; for the pair of you ànd your stuff when it's starting to rain! And for God's sake, buy extra (expensive) steel rock-pins! If you can drag that enormous lithium battery around, you will not notice the weight of the camping equipment! If you don't go on the cheap, as you done now, camping is marvellous especially for Twiggy! ❤
It WAS fun seeing two grown men in such a small tent without preparation. Exactly how i would do that 😅 Add a small but active dog in the mix... You were still quite lucky with the rain, and it is a nice place, isn't it 😄 The pictures of the lightning was very nice too... Very cool again!
Hilarious per usual! This is better than prime time TV, and look forward to it each week. A truly honest version of the lovely South of France, and brings some sunshine to a totally dreadful summer in Northern Ireland so far! Keep up your adventures Tim, Mr Boo and Twiggy 👍🏻

What a beautiful episode again! Fortunately it wasn't too bad in terms of storm and rain, you weren't washed away. When you go camping you always experience something unexpected, that makes it adventurous!
I was laughing in the first video when you mentioned their description of how easy it was to "set up" the tent. I thought: "Wait until you try and break it down and put it away." 😀But I was impressed with how well it went. Just curious, did the stuff on the roof (covering that window) help keep the temp inside the Ami any cooler?
bonsoir mes amis d'Espagne. I'm suffering here. Madame has a laptop with all her English classes material on (she teaches) but it is Windows 7 and is no longer supported. I am trying to put Windows 10 on it but first need to save all her material on another drive so that it doesn't get lost. It means that I have two screens, two computers and two mice to work with at the same time - it's confusing to my 83 year old brain.
To stop the sleeping bags sliding around you could put a double bedsheet on the air mattress. I do this when I go camping and it works and means it isn’t highly annoying.
Great video. Looked like a lovely site, once you find your pitch - shame about the weather though. Mr Boo made dismantling the tent look a doddle, I think you definitely tired out Twiggy with your adventures 😂
Sack the airbed and get 2 double self inflating mats for a comfy sleep, dont get cheap ones though, you can always blow a bit more air in them if needed, one tip is do a lay test on the ground before you put the tent up to avoid lumpy bits
Well something different. A salutory reminder to self. No more camping, ever for me. Paying to be uncomfortable. No! Still if you enjoyed it? Mobile home or a canal boat are OK
My wife said that Mr Boo had folded the tent much more confidently than I did the first time. The last time I folded it was at least ten years ago, that's for sure! And now - I'm 60 - I think hotel rooms are the more comfortable pop-up solution. Nevertheless, is there anything more cosy than sitting in a tent in the rain? With a good book and a good wine.
My sleeping bag has pockets on the back which you can tuck the camping mat into. It's actually designed for use with a fishing bed. Another thing I do is to put the camping mat inside a sleeping bag liner to make it less slippery but I guess for a double mattress then a duvet cover would work. I think the problem is better addressed by a ready-bed or duvalay type setup.
Your trip helped you to know what you don’t know, and your things to remember checklist is starting to grow! What a nice setting that was, and that Gin clear stream looked a bit chilly.
I do recall in the last camping video you said i wonder why they stopped selling this bed I think you discovered why on the first night but amazing video as always very well edited and the music is always amazing love from ireland ❤
