I feel your pain, lost footage is disheartening, happened to us a few times and it was footage we really wanted to preserve!

Nice channel, I like seeing what others do with their airplanes. I love the 182rg this is the first one I’ve seen with weather radar. I own a P210 Javelin based in SF Bay Area. Hopefully I’ll get to fly it to Florida someday soon. Keep the videos coming.

    From a non-aviator
I've watched a lot of aviation videos because of Covid. I stumbled across one and just got hooked watching them. Enough so that I've toyed with the idea of learning to fly just to say I've done it. We'll see. But as for things I'd like to see some people address....
    1. I like your "This button does ..." idea. I see some of that on other videos, but it's always te buttons you normally use. What about all the ones you don't? Why are they there? I assume I need to know why they're there and when to use them (and by assume, I mean I know I would have to).
    2. How often do you practice for "Oh crap.."? And what "Oh crap" situations do you practice for? I know you have to learn spins and stalls, but how often do you go do that stuff again?
    3. Why did you choose the plane you did? The video I watched before this the guy went through his reasons why and they all had to do with his large size - he doesn't fit in most.
    4. Do you have it just for $100 hamburgers and to get you places that are farther than you want to drive or ????
That should get some ideas going for you. Thanks for the videos!

Had to learn a little about about how to read a METAR to solves some puzzles for my geocaching hobby. How long does it take to learn that foreign language and do you carry a cheat sheet?

@@tombrotherman7838 Hey Tom! I'll check out that video tomorrow. As a fellow 'cacher myself that sounds like a cool puzzle find. Honestly when it comes to METAR's and TAF's I focused on learning the important short-hand i.e. wind/wind speed, ceiling, temperature, and altimeter setting. The remarks section rarely has any information of value accept during times of thunderstorm activity and wind sheer. You do need to put a few shorthand acronyms to memory such as BR (mist) etc. there are more obviously. But truth be told I fly with Foreflight and have for years now so all of the METAR and TAF data for weather is given in shorthand code and also in plain language format so interpreting weather is a breeze now.
