What size would work for a crestliner 1750 superhawk? Actual length is 17' 9" and boat weight is only 2000lbs at it is an Aluminum deep V. Motor is a Merc 150 4 stroke OB. If 90lbs is too much force and it causes too much of a bow down attitude, is there an option to reduce the downforce?
Our Self-Leveling Tabs kits (SLT6 = up to 16’, SLT10 = 17' and up) will handle some of the basic running attitude situations of bow high, hole shot, slow speed plane, porpoising & limited listing issues (same side all the time), but we can't be sure they will work for your specific application. Normally, vessels above the 20' range will be better served by installing controllable trim tab systems vs. the SLT type (spring-loaded), since large vessels tend to need more trim tab control over their running attitude than spring type actuator maybe be able to provide. The best next step would be to call us at (954) 427-427 or email BMI_Info@Yamaha-Motor.com. Our techs would help you diagnose to determine what type of issues are you dealing with and trying to correct. Once properly diagnosed they would have specific recommendations. Thanks!
Will the SLT tabs work to level a load? Like on a small boat you're the only person in the boat, and it leans hard to the right, would installing the SLT tabs fix that?
Connor, Remotely adjustable Trim Tabs such as the BOLT electric system would be better for that. But if you install the SLTs and adjust them so one side has a little more downward force by using the holes in the tab where the actuator attaches, they would help.
You & some other people caught that too, Bennett is a good co. but this is on the cheesy side, looking to make better royalties, what about backing down when tabs are in the full forced down position, effect on steering, water coming in from the stern ?
I have a 17-foot Arima with 70HP 4-stroke engine and 8HP kicker and installed Bennett sport tabs. They worked great for about 4-5 seasons and then crapped out. One side works, when I switch the hydraulic fluid lines, the problem travels to the other tab...........so issue with hydraulic pump? I am interested in possibly replacing with the SLT units since this would be cheaper than replacing the pump. Any thoughts from Bennett would be appreciated.
Please make a video of top speed before and after SLT tabs

I have a 21-foot boat with 115HP Suzuki 4-stroke engine . Will the SLT10 tabs work on it and what you recommend for my boat ?

BennettTrimTabs thank you!
It would seem that these could have dangerous bow down effects in a following sea.
my thoughts exactly.
Adjusting the motor so it has exaggerated symptoms took all your credibility away. No trust scammers not buying it.
first thing i noticed. really spun my head the other way.
Lol, trimmed all the way up for the “before”
LOL! Clown. Do a little research right here on TH-cam and you'll see the benefits of trim tabs.
