Cool build bro. Live the content, criminally underrated.

I don’t know if I speak for other people here but I’d be really intrigued by some sort of firearms build using the new giff race from Spelljammer.

I do like me some guns hippos. That'd be a bonus build for sure. Not gonna be a druid build lol

Unfortunately im pretty certain the polearm master bonus action attack doesn't work after booming blade or flame blade as you can only do it following taking the attack action and neither of those are taking the attack action. Booming blade is casting a cantrip and flame blade is a unique attack allowed by the spell but not in fact the attack action. A nice dm might let you do it.
Overall though a nice build to show a way to make the land druids kinda lame later level subclass features shine. Particularly if you use plant growth along with cloud kill, due to lands stride you are not slowed by plant growth and around the time you get cloudkill you are immune to poison. Great in a campaign where you aren't fighting too many poison immune enemies or flying enemies, such as Storm Kings Thunder.

grab 1 level of Arcana Cleric instead of the feat

It is creative build. If annoyed DM starts to spam Poison Immunity, you can simply use Summon Draconic Spirit to blast their butts.
It is rather sad, Plant Growth which slows enemy movement without Concentration is not considered as well as Flaming Sphere which can force movement out of enemy (it would be great combo with Booming Blade).

These are both great options! The only reason I didn't mention them is because the amount of set up required would likely result in enemies getting out of the radius before you could effectively lock them down. You could lay down Plant Growth and Cloudkill in one go at the cost of Action Surge which might be worth it but it can be difficult to wrangle in enemies into the area you need

@@DapperSnapperGaming To be honest, as great as Plant Growth can be, wording is vague enough to bring arguement out of DM.

    Flameblade...bonus attack with quarterstaff...
Or just get flaming sphere for your bonus action and keep cantripping away from a distance🤷‍♂️
You're not a moon druid you shouldn't be in melee range of ANYTHING

    • @momqabt
      @momqabt ปีที่แล้ว

Erupting eart and elemental weapon and flameblade?! From lv2 spells summon beast, forgot to write it, don't want to edit🤷‍♂️
Lv3 conjure animals, plant growth, sleet storm, summon fey

So instead of leaving mini posts im just gonna playpause till we get to the end.
      Charm and dominate...why? Fireshield...why?
Spread thin for feats...yeah, taking a melee feat first off...
Taking magic initiate for melee spells as a d8 caster in max hide armor...just why?
If you take wiz spells, go ritual caster and take find familiar🙄
Poison is the most resisted and immuned damage and status effect after fire. Why is that good? Also, transmute rock, wall of stone, draconian spirit no but cone of cold yes...nah man
For the 10th level strat...using 5th level spell to have a booming blade shenanigan? Spike growth, plant growth, sleet storm
And then fighter forward and further into rune knight...
      Just...
Why?(??) You're giving up 6th level spells, heroes feast, heal, sunbeam, transport via plants
We're here for fun yeah I get it, I still don't want a dysfunctional character. Caster druid in melee low hp low hd low ac
      Edit: yeah I'm done

You lost me at Polearm master. No offense, but PAM and GWM and sentinel have poisoned melee combat. I won't argue with it's effectiveness, I find it boring. Out of respect, I'll watch and like the video, but mostly because I'm curious about the AC problem. Will you wear metal armor, even though it says druids won't? Many people believe that if you get armor proficiencies from a multiclass, that overrides the druid prohibition on metal armor. I myself do not. Just because there is no mechanical penalty for doing so doesn't change the fact that druids will not wear metal armor.

I would say that you are far from alone in your position on PAM/GWM builds. As far as AC, I also rule that metal is not allowed just because you pick up higher proficiency. I rule it that you have to craft or find armor that is made of some other kind of material (dragon scale or craft some from an Umber Hulk she'll etc)
