This video makes me cry every time... all the people kissing, hugging, the love literallt was in the air that night, nothing but love and beautiful heartwarming music. One of my favorite things about these old Paul videos, besides the music, is the pure joy and love in the faces of the crowd. I was so lucky to grow up in the 60's, and spend my whole life with this wonderful music, music that transcends generational differences. But I sure do miss George.
I've watched a number of these live performances by Paul here on TH-cam. The faces of the people in the audience are always aglow - they know they are witnessing something very special and they want to soak in every second of it.
I wish Paul and his band would play this song at every concert. How can the crowd not go wild ? It's love inspired and musical perfection. Rusty Anderson's guitar is wonderful. What more can you say ?

Paul sings this wonderful song as effortlessly and in the same key as he did nearly 50 years ago. He's truly one of the great pop-vocalists of all time - which he rarely gets credit for. His studio recordings of "Oh! Darling" and "Maybe I'm Amazed" are incredible vocals.
On lead guitar is Rusty Anderson. I saw Sir Paul with this band, Front & center in Phillie, Pa. Rusty said he used to dream every night (ever since he was 5 yrs. old ) that the Beatles would come to his door & ask him to jam. & then He said, "& now here I am on stage & touring the wourld w Sir Paul." Look how happy he is :) Dreams really do come true!

I first heard the Beatles at age 3 when my sister would play their records all day every day. This music has been a part of my life for almost my entire life. The soundtrack of my life so to speak.
When I was 12 years old I was very fortunate to spend a delightful couple of hours with the composer Meredith Wilson. I asked him what he thought of the Beatles covering this song from The Music Man. He said he loved it and their arrangement was “wonderful”. He laughed and said the cover made him more royalties than the movie.

I had the "meet the beatles" record (was my brothers) when I was like 6, knew all the words to all the songs. The family was driving in the car one day and this song came on the radio (77 WABC). I sang all the way thru and when the song ended my mother turned to me and said " Too bad you don't your arithmetic like that!" I still have that old, scratched up album without the cover.

I had the "meet the beatles" record (was my brothers) when I was like 6, knew all the words to all the songs. The family was driving in the car one day and this song came on the radio (77 WABC). I sang all the way thru and when the song ended my mother turned to me and said " Too bad you don't your arithmetic like that!" I still have that old, scratched up album without the cover.

I think if i ever got to see Paul live you would never be able to wipe the smile off my face, im grinning ear to ear just listening to this! Prob never happen now, im so glad we have these videos to watch!
