I saw this movie in the theater in Toronto when I was 9 yrs old! My mom took me and somehow sneaked me in. Lol! I fell in love with both the movie and the music. Today Leone's 4 classic westerns are still my top 4 fav films, and I'm now 61 years old.

I saw this film in its original release and appreciated it as a good western with Henry Fonda as the most villainous character ever. As the years have passed, I’ve come to love the work of Sergio Leone the masterful creator of the best western ever filmed, in my opinion and, of course Morricone’s masterpiece of a score. I’m so glad he lived long enough to be acknowledged by the MPSAA with his second Oscar for his many fantastic film scores.

You should hear the original singer's own version, it has lyrics and they are really meaningful, and just because u were mentioning italians, the song is originnaly sung by a portuguese woman, and that version has portuguese lyrics, u should really give it a try
