This build helped me beat Tancred on NG+ first try. thanks for this.
This build also works good in PvP. You just need to get close to use target lock to counter lag. While trying to out space your enemies. For some reason most people you invade do but much thought into defense, so a lot of players you invade are one shot. I have been using a similar build a lot recently since it takes a long time to join a player in pve since it takes a long time to join someone compared to pvp that is what I have been doing. I have been saving up PvP currency in case the devs release new items in the shrines.
I like using the Edict's Aim crossbow for this build with Wither Bolts. The Explosive and Twisted Bolts got massive ammo cost nerfs, but are still really effective regardless, but since everything is vulnerable to wither damage, the Wither Bolts actually do some massive work on most EVERY enemy in the game from my experience, the only tradeoff is no aoe. I'm also using the Scornful Effigy pendant since it gives a bigger damage buff than Princess's Sting, and I'm not getting hit by most enemies anyways.
Use the umbral eye and ammo is irrelevant
Hi, thank you for this build. You didn't mentioned that people will need a friend to drop items or by doing 2 runs for the daggers and 3 for the 6 aelstrix runes. The completed build is broken even without the bug.

Wow, so cool can’t wait to try it. What do you recommend to use in the early game? The Assassins bow comes pretty late in a play through. Is this build viable before end game?

So was the game harder with each playthrough?
@@X-Factor-22 depends. I was replaying my current cycle (base new game), for trophies. NG plus get harder, as any other souls games, if you are an average player like me.

I’m average too when it comes to the souls genre. Most of the ones I’ve tried I never finished, but LOTF is definitely one that will go on my finished list.
I’m lvl 150 and I’ve just cleansed my 3rd beacon. Despite the performance issues, I’m really enjoying LOTF because of the story,gameplay, atmosphere and ambient background. The game definitely held my attention all the way through.

I know crossbows are op in this game, but I still prefer bows in almost any games as I love them since I was a little kid (btw my name is Max but I was born with the name Robin, really affected me I guess)
The build seems solid, simple, and not too difficult to use. LOTF isn't the most punishing soul-like but it's still hard enough for me. Definitely gonna work on this build. Thanks a lot!!

This build is great, I have a question from a new player, which is better bow with this build or inferno...?
You may want to add in order to get all those Aestrix runes you have to complete the game 3x considered you only get 2 per play through. There’s also a pendant that buffs fully charged arrows which may do more damage than Princesses sting.
You can run and get the first one then restart

Out of curiosity are you playing ng +1 ( or higher) or ng + 0 cause your non wither damage is too much for ng +1 or higher.
The damage highlights have nothing to do with the build. Its just a showcase of the pale butcher soulflay bug. Pointless video.
I guess you missed the parts of the video where he's not abusing the bug and still doing crazy damage?
A pvper used this against me last week. Ridiculous. Got one shotted no matter what i did.

Yeah... This isn't a build it's an exploit of a bug with the Eye of the Pale Butcher. They will probably fix it soon and it also works with every weapon so you don't even need this whole bow build.
I know a lot of people are trolling with these builds right now kinda stupid. its a bug please get more like on this
He says in the video about this bug and how it's not NEEDED for the build but it defo helps whilst it's still happening.

All these builds requires 2 of the same weapons and rings that you get way late into the game it’d be nice if there was a build that didn’t require you to play the game twice to get strong
I'm yet to discover a build like that. Devs must have thought hey they need to finish the game at least 3 times, might as well do with the same hero.
Although with some adjustments this one could be achieved to some degree in a single play through.
Use the melted crusader sword and invest more in endurance and vitality and maybe a ring that buffs fire or holy damage type depending on the arrow should do it. You'll be missing only the extra 3 runes. A huge loss but this still should be enough for a normal run.
Edit: Actually runes that boost the damage type may be a replacement. But you'll need to change depending on the area you're fighting.
