Literally finished a ground arcade match in my lineup (M60A1 AOS,RISE P and T95E1) in a 9.0 match on 3-point Sinai (the one with the big desert) I captured the point in the city near my spawn and managed to kill SEVEN guys alone with my AOS,even two A1A1s. Then spawned with my RISE and killed another 4 guys,but the match was lost because even tho i mowed the enemy team and slowly crawled through their point, my team refused to advance and was slowly picked up by the campers in the open desert. What a shame
@@imnomoremaverick I've noticed that, I go into a match and then I push towards the caps and middle of the map, engage some enemies and then look at the minimap and notice that my WHOLE team are just sitting at that line in the middle of our cap and spawn and im the only one that pushed at all and have to engage EVERY enemy by myself and die because I have no support and then we end up losing because my team are so dumb that they can't push and have to stay back and get picked off one by one

Sometimes it's just unfortunate luck for a lot of people. Other times it's the fact that randomly people decide to just not to play objective. Although so many times I try to play objective and hold the line, I get screwed by volumetric randomly eating a shell and have to deal with the one guy who just goes full monkey brain and just says "bad team".

Yes and no, If you look at what the italian doctrine describes the roller of a Carro Pesante (heavy tank) as it would be more accurate to call it a medium support tank. The Italians did not see heavy tanks as heavy breakthrough vehicles but medium tanks with bigger guns. The requirements didd not require the tank to have more armour than a medium and required it to maintain the same road speed as a medium tank.
Italian and French vehicles are some of the quirkiest in the game, which makes them really fun to goof around with. The D2 especially has some really goofy side armor. Also, like the gargoyle I am, I'm gonna suggest the ARL-44 again. :)

Funny, I play Italy and France almost exclusively; still, with France at 7.0 having nothing but HEAT shells, the heavy armor meta makes me want to throttle someone.
The #1 at the end of a name means that they tried to use their username but it was, supposedly, already taken. Mine was, somehow, taken already according to Gaijin and so at first the name was all screwed up in-game with a bunch of weird characters about halfway through. So I tried to use my one free name change and Gaijin decided my name was already taken... which I somehow doubt, and so they just tacked on the #1 at the end. Given my name is oddly specific and usual, I have a feeling my initial entry was actually registered correctly with their database but in-game it was all garbled... somehow? Spaghetti code go brrrrr. No idea if anything similar happened with the other players, but that's usually what the #1 is, it means they tried to take a username that was at least registered in the servers already.
My steam account and my username when I first signed up at the same. My original account's research got wiped but the account still exists, so my steam account has almost the same amount of research completed.
I have now been given a reason to play Italy, considering I'm stuck at 2.3-2.7. The P40 is one of those tanks that you think is made of paper, but it isn't.
@@crazyadam9281 yep, M4 fireflys and m26/m47 are a chore in comparsion, but AUBL/C13 and fiat 6616/R3-T106 make you a god of speed. OF-40 is great, it is Leo 1 but with slighly better armour and laser

I play the p40 all the time in Italy and I love using it, it's heat rounds melt through anything and I started primarily using those after one match I ran out of ammo with AP rounds so I started using heat and I realized I didn't need to double tap half the enemy's I shot

Worse mobility? Sure, worse gun? Debatable, the Sherman has like 100 something mm of pen with the aphe but way worse filler, if the p40 pen It Will oneshot unless you hit the engine or the game screws you over, now worse armor i call bs on that, an angled p40 can bounce a ton of shells with the only weakness being the turret, the Sherman on the other hand depending on which One has insane weakspots in the hull and in the turret, the p40 can oneshot every sherman he faces, even shooting the lower plate Is fine, avoid the trasmission and the Sherman Is gone.
I mean, it's 3.3 It doesen't take much to grind it and at this br Is one of the funniest lineups, the p40, the semovente with 100mm armor, the m42, the panzer3 N and the semovente 105, i love 3.0/3.3 italy
I've overpressured KV-1Es, 105 Shermans, STuHs, and even an Abrams once. The P40 is by far the best tank i've ever played and I hope Gaijin doesn't change a single thing about it.

Actually one of the few machines that made me recently redownload this game. Also if you're gonna play Italy, I think you may enjoy the Celere. It's fast, got a fast firing gun with substantial filler, and is just fun once you get used to being so big but still being vulnerable to .50cal up close
Started War Thunder around a month ago and couldn’t find a tech tree that felt like it was doing what I enjoyed until I started playing the Italian one, and the P40 was super surprising. I had it in the line up as “something to use when my good tanks are dead” but found it was the one I was actually performing best with at its BR. It isn’t a beast, but it just kind of performs slightly better than expected in pretty much everything. A bit more survivable than expected, hits a bit harder than expected, can get around a bit faster than expected. I like the lil guy.
The P40 is a wonderful tank to pair with the Semovente 43/34 (the one at 3.3). One has a turret, he other has 100mm of armor on the front (75+25), making them a deadly combo when against lighter tanks (aphe) and heavier tanks (heat). KVs will still give you trouble sadly.
Just as an aside, this thing is also unique for having a unique sight you can activate without changing anything, even on console where you don’t have access to the WT page.
I actually just recently started playing the P40 while I'm setting up a lineup for the Turan III and I always knew the P40 was a at least a decent tank since it was the only low tier italian tank I struggled to fight in my low tier Sherman's but actually taking it out myself had been way more pleasant than I could have ever expected
Hey Spook, you should play the Semovente 75/46 M43. It's a deeply overshadowed italian tank destroyer which can deliver an heavy punch but it's deeply ignored the potential it has. I am not gonna surrender in proposing this. (Day 99)
The P40 for me was the light at the end of the tunnel that is the Italian med tank line I also just checked that P40 can have 100+mm of effective armor when angled
It's really funny cuz irl this and other Italian tanks were death traps. The rivets in place of welds would explode with the lightest impact and shoot off into the tank like shrapnel even if it was a grazing blow. Parts would fall off and crews would get shredded
@@yubisnake Can't ask the other side either as the spalling more or less liquified them. They'd have really helped Gajin make a more realistic game like they pride themselves on. Although I do understand that they can't make it 100% realistic for gameplay purposes, but they could step up other parts.

The #1 thing is when you try to change your username to something that is already taken, gaijin suggests adding a #1 to the end and if you press the change username button again it automatically changes it to the name with the #1 at the end, it then costs like 1000 ge to change your username again
If you are still curious about the #1 suffix of player nickname, that's actually some steam related naming feature to identify players with identical names AFAIK (as you might be aware of it's possible for steam users to create accounts with identical names).
Spookston, if you like big booms take out the PV-2D in ground RB. It carries 6 MASSIVE sea mines that drop individually and has also EIGHT .50cals in the nose. It is awesome.
The funny thing about him talking about furries is, the first time my son and I watched a spookston vid together, he legit asked me "is this guy a furry?" 😂
If you enjoyed the p40, you should definitely play the japanese Ho-I, it is at 2.0 with an aphe round that has about 400g of explosive filler, as compared to the p40 with 270g, makes it an absolute monster
You should make a video on the Turan III in the Hungarian tech tree. It’s armor is average but it gets an insane amount of Pen on its PG round for low tier, something like 113mm of pen

Since you like Italian tanks so much, you should play the Carro Armato M Celere Sahariano. (2.7) Its a medium tank prototype created by Italy during World War II to match the speed and firepower of British cruiser tanks seen by Italian forces during the North African campaign, which it does well with a forward/back speed of 61 / 5 km/h. Its armor's not amazing but its decent for the BR. Its gun is pretty nice, a 47 mm 47/40 mod.38 cannon with a reload speed of 5.2 seconds, and the Granata Perforante mod.39 (APBC) one shots most pens it gets. Its appearance is pretty comical it looks a pancake should be pretty easy to make a meme out of. Hope you see my comment and take it into consideration. Thanks for reading (DAY: 1)
The P40 and their casemate TDs at the 3.0 to 3.7 range is just this insane little line up of fun hard hitting tanks with sometimes frankly comically thick armor and kinda shows that Italy knew how to build great tanks they just weren't ready when Adolf decided to kick things off early
Even the m14/41 isn't that bad when you consider it's a anti-infantry mountain tank (and has surprisingly good breakdown/repair rate. At 2nd Alamein they had the 2nd best reliability, 2nd only to the valentine and greater than the sherman)

When the Italian tech tree came out I absolutely hated the P40, the armor was like impenetrable at its BR and even 1.0 above it depending on the tank. Either way nowadays i have fun playing the Italy tech tree, I genuinely think its one of the easiest to grind considering the severe lack of anything to research, with the new Hungarian sub tree, Italy 3.3-4.0 is completely unstoppable, best nation BR lineup in the game
I'm happy that you tried it. All the old videos about the P-40 call it a bad tank, meanwhile i was sure it was good because i suck at war thunder but i was getting kills with it, so by logic it couldn't possibly be bad.

I had a dream where I was watching a new war thunder video you made. You were playing on a city map and were trapped next to your teammates bc they all decided to push the same corner to meet the enemy push. Suddenly an enemy Technical drives into frame and "Tides of Wrath" from C&C Generals starts playing while it eats a few tank rounds. It survives for another minute by crazily driving back and forth round the wreckage. You land the kill shot, the music stops, and the Enel face gif plays on screen. That's it. It ended after that. Nothing seemed out of place, and you were talking like it was a normal video. Idk what this means. Besides that, War Thunder is getting a Technical added to the game at some point.

Also love hitting open tops that you can't pen with the HEAT shell and simply overpressuring them
At some points I just stopped using the P40 and started using the pnz 3 instead it’s just faster with about the same armor

The KV tanks give everyone trouble
most KVs are can be taken out relatively easily if you know where to aim. its that up armored one that is more or less invulnerable
For the KV's you can use the 105mm M43 that is 3.0, it has better pen, better tnt filler, but less armour

It's really funny cuz irl this and other Italian tanks were death traps. The rivets in place of welds would explode with the lightest impact and shoot off into the tank like shrapnel even if it was a grazing blow. Parts would fall off and crews would get shredded
I don't know if it would be worse to die from your tank popping apart like a lego character or dying to spall from a terrible weld job.

They'd have really helped Gajin make a more realistic game like they pride themselves on. Although I do understand that they can't make it 100% realistic for gameplay purposes, but they could step up other parts.

Little tip in uptiers switch the ap with the heat and downtiers keep ap. Also the p40 is a angling beast.

During my whole Italian grind I had the most fun in the P40. It really is a good vechile.
The #1 thing is when you try to change your username to something that is already taken, gaijin suggests adding a #1 to the end and if you press the change username button again it automatically changes it to the name with the #1 at the end, it then costs like 1000 ge to change your username again

If you are still curious about the #1 suffix of player nickname, that's actually some steam related naming feature to identify players with identical names AFAIK (as you might be aware of it's possible for steam users to create accounts with identical names).
You should really play the "Turan I" at (2.3 or 2.7, I don't remember). it's APHE basically worse solid shot that has like 15g of explosive filler.
Spookston, if you like big booms take out the PV-2D in ground RB. It carries 6 MASSIVE sea mines that drop individually and has also EIGHT .50cals in the nose. It is awesome.
You should play the Italian tank Destroyer with 100mm of front armour, it has this same 75mm gun but more armour you can angle it a little to.

I love the P40, always angle the side of the front plate that has the extra armor plate. Its incredibly trolly and often bounces and tanks shots

The mobility is pretty good. Acceleration is definitely good and it maintains its speed on terrain.

If you enjoyed the p40, you should definitely play the japanese Ho-I, it is at 2.0 with an aphe round that has about 400g of explosive filler, as compared to the p40 with 270g, makes it an absolute monster

You should make a video on the Turan III in the Hungarian tech tree. It’s armor is average but it gets an insane amount of Pen on its PG round for low tier, something like 113mm of pen

(Day 31) Really wanted to see you try out the French Lorraine 37L, it's an open top tank destroyer with 47mm gun that has a 104mm of penetration, it's a fun vehicle to play around

Since you like Italian tanks so much, you should play the Carro Armato M Celere Sahariano. (2.7) Its a medium tank prototype created by Italy during World War II to match the speed and firepower of British cruiser tanks seen by Italian forces during the North African campaign, which it does well with a forward/back speed of 61 / 5 km/h. Its armor's not amazing but its decent for the BR. Its gun is pretty nice, a 47 mm 47/40 mod.38 cannon with a reload speed of 5.2 seconds, and the Granata Perforante mod.39 (APBC) one shots most pens it gets. Its appearance is pretty comical it looks a pancake should be pretty easy to make a meme out of. Hope you see my comment and take it into consideration. Thanks for reading (DAY: 1)
You should try the italian AB 43, the mobility is really really good and it has a pretty good gun for its BR.

The P40 and their casemate TDs at the 3.0 to 3.7 range is just this insane little line up of fun hard hitting tanks with sometimes frankly comically thick armor and kinda shows that Italy knew how to build great tanks they just weren't ready when Adolf decided to kick things off early
Even the m14/41 isn't that bad when you consider it's a anti-infantry mountain tank (and has surprisingly good breakdown/repair rate. At 2nd Alamein they had the 2nd best reliability, 2nd only to the valentine and greater than the sherman)

When the Italian tech tree came out I absolutely hated the P40, the armor was like impenetrable at its BR and even 1.0 above it depending on the tank.
Either way nowadays i have fun playing the Italy tech tree, I genuinely think its one of the easiest to grind considering the severe lack of anything to research, with the new Hungarian sub tree, Italy 3.3-4.0 is completely unstoppable, best nation BR lineup in the game
Hey Spookston you should play the doom tutel, the T95. Tigers and panthers got up tiered to 6.0 and the tutel eats them alive

Angling the P40 practically makes you invincible and I love it.
You know what is also a French nuke tank? The AMX-40. 30HP/t, 20mm coax, thermals, 400mm pen dart, LRF. All at 9.7. Extremely good package.
