Bombing came to Northern Michigan for a small festival, Camp Greensky. I was so excited to see them after a friend showed me their music in the weeks before our festival. Tall about incredible musicianship. It was HOT and I understand these folk know the desert but even they said "it's hot out here" LOL Amazing live, amazing people and a very special memory
This is beyond amazing. I legit had a spiritual experience from listening to this. He kind of reminds me of Tinariwen, but he's got his own thing going on.
I know this is supposed to be about the music, which is great! But I just can't help thinking: wow, the clothes are so beautiful and such good quality! And I love the symbolics in this video. The sea, the sand... do you think it's about Bombino carrying his nation's culture with him wherever he goes in the world?
Oh- and STILL WAITING on an electric version of Inar that I heard in Grass Valley, califonia. The best song of the night, but I can't even find bootleg performances of it anywhere... PLEASE... I gotta hear it again...
