I like to see a bit of holster wear on your 1911 pistols. I have a Les Baer Super Tac as my EDC that is getting a bit of holster wear on the finish too. This Les Baer has been my daily carry for the first six months of 2024. I will switch up to something else the end of June for the last 6 months of 2024. Thanks again for your owner videos… much appreciated. Beretta SR.
I just recently acquired a newer A1 model. But damn you just can’t get anything that looks like what you have. That A1 is gorgeous. I’m looking for one from the year, 67 specific since it is my dad’s birth year.(no one is selling theirs)😅
Really enjoyed the comparison between these two magnificent 1911 pistols. I got the impression there wasn’t a whole lot of difference in the quality of trigger pull? I remember back in the 1970’s when I first saw a Gold Cup at the range. I was still only shooting Colt revolvers, so I was very interested in the Gold Cup. The fellow that owned it said they were just target pistols, and not meant for strong defensive hollow point rounds. lol which I later found out the Gold Cup could also be used for self defense. Even before the internet there was still false information.
Oh yes. There is a little difference in the gold cup trigger but not a terrible amount. The other features like the sites etc. Does set it apart. I equally like both of them. Thank you for watching
@@TerryBenton Yes I have those same exact Gold Cup black on black target sights on my 1976 Colt Diamondback 4-inch 38spc. With my aging eyes I prefer the sights on my 1983 Colt Python 6-inch, which are the rear white outline, and the red front ramp.
I have never been a believer in covering serial numbers or tag numbers. I own the gun and the cars. I can prove it. There really is not alot anyone can do with them
Great content. I have been searching for information on the COlt 1911. Really appreciate the information.

Interesting about the collet bushing (personally I've broken two; contrary to what the Brownells gunsmith told me a modern solid bushing works fine).
@ahhamartin they do work good. Especially if you get an oversized one and hand fit it
bonjour magnifique paire de colt 45 sympathique vidéo de présentation de ces deux modèles merci de se partage vidéo cordialement
Thank you
