    I just realized that 30 years later, I'm back to making the furniture for my dollhouse. :D Thank you, DM Scotty!

    I love your work! I first found about gridless DND through you, and as a wargamer it just made sense. And then I got sold with you 2.5d terrain! I love all the tutorials you so and the videos you make thank you

    • @theDMsCraft
      @theDMsCraft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So very welcome. These old vids don't get many views anymore. I started gridless during 4E which was even more of a crime...lol. All the powers were listed as grid squares. 1"=one square, as simple as that.

    I think a good little piece would be a wizards lab. Also a tavern tile cause a lot of players head to the tavern

    The black square kind of gives a shadow like effect on the game tile. Really cool idea Scotty!

  • @Taco.bells_palsy
    @Taco.bells_palsy 11 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The black also gives them a nice dramatic drop shadow when you're looking at them from above.

    In the first dungeon I made, it was this big pirate ship and one of the lower decks was flooded and the only safe way across was on chairs and tabletops. I only had cardboard at the time making a bunch of 1" square seats with a little strip of cardboard for the backs. The looked bad but you could tell what they were. Now I have a new way to make them look better.

    You could even cover the cube in pvc soaked paper towel (like when Scotty made the tents ;) ) then paint it like the chair is covered in cloth maybe for a wedding or some sort of upscale royal hall or just fancier looking seating. I like the added stability of the block, awesome video ^^

    Nice Scotty, I have a suggestion on a video, Show how you store all of the stuff you made. If I made as much as I think you have My craft would have a home But I wouldn't.

    Hey, Scotty. Instead of chairs you could make medieval settles (high-backed wooden benches), which were usually made from solid planks of wood, so you wouldn't have to make chair legs.

    Scotty, I DO like your videos and tips. I am very inspired to make a lot of things I've seen in your videos and also DMG's videos. You guys make things sooo easy to produce! I'm gathering my paints and glues, wood pieces, cardboard, card stock and all the rest! Gonna have a marathon building session right soon now!

    I made these and mine look almost perfectly to scale with a standard 25mm miniature. The minis in the video look a bit off scale in the video, so maybe they're not 25mm? Just putting it out there.

    • @theDMsCraft
      @theDMsCraft  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, they are heroic scale.

    DM Scotty, from what I see, it really looks like a 1inch cube rather than 1/2 in, even using the lined paper as a guide, the cube looks larger than 1/2 in, can you verify the measurements for me??

    • @dmperri
      @dmperri 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, doing some follow up. From what I can tell, I suspect that the wooden cubes are the .59in (15mm) cubes from the dollar tree.

    I like, I like. That's a really good way of being lazy :-). I do love your videos, keep up the good work. (PS: I don't think you're lazy at all, if you were you wouldn't create all the cool tiles and come up with ways like this.)

    The scale looks a bit big to me. I like the technique though and will definately use it. i'll just to make them smaller

    • @theDMsCraft
