Hello back from Trøndelag, Norway, and you are very welcome. 🤙
California, that's so cool, must be a great place for overlanding with the mountain range following the whole state. 🏔👌
Not sure about the rules of wild camping over there though?
      Best, Simon

Thanks and we do our best and the kids english skills is coming along nicely. Now my oldest is as good as me and soon better. 😅
The contrast to Hawaii must be big for sure, but I think we, living up here, look at Hawaii as you look at Norway, with big eyes and wonder.
I use translate now and again too, to double check and also to translate some comments and questions in different languages.
That we can share our passions around the world through video is something I appreciate every day and what I love about TH-cam. 👌
      Best,
      Simon

@@LandRoverDrive yes, all of your English speaking is really good 👍🏻. I am hoping my daughter will learn to speak Norwegian as fluently as she wants to go to college there.
I grew up in the State of Maine, which has similar terrain and climate to Scandinavia, which is probably why so many families from Norway, Sweden and Finland as well settled there. Skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, ice fishing etc are a way of life there as are saunas and hot tubs, rolling in the snow and polar plunged into the sea or freshwater.
Hawaii is a beautiful place and full of wonder when you arrive to the sounds, breezes , beaches and fruit , especially if coming from a winter climate.
I would argue that the Azores are even more so, but with the added bonus for Europeans as being closely linked and way less commercialized than Hawaii. If you get a chance for a mid winter break, I can’t recommend enough that your family would love going there. Interestingly, Hawaii, especially Hawaii Island, has many Portuguese populations that are descended from people that immigrated from the Azores in the early 1900’s .

Beautiful video brother 👍 Just got back from South of England camping in my 2008 Discovery 3 . Awesome vehicles that are so diverse and fun to drive. Can I ask what tyres you use in the harsh conditions over there? They seem to perform really well on ice and snow.

Thanks man and glad you liked it. 👍😊 The Discovery is awesome and I love it, still after 10 years and many km’s. 👌
For winter I use Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT2, studded winter tires. Been a solid tires for five or six winter seasons now. Will get new LT3’s this upcoming season.
Nokian is one of the top brands on Nordic conditions so you can’t go wrong with them, studded or non studded.
How the camping in south of England, can you free/wild camp or do you need to go to camping grounds?
      Best, Simon.

@@LandRoverDrive Thanks for the info on the tyres. They sound awesome 👍
Unfortunately it’s not legal to wild camp in England. Scotland allow it, but the laws in England are very strict about this stuff. It’s a shame because we do have some beautiful places, but sadly there are people who won’t respect the land and overstay, litter, noise, etc. But there are lots of Farmers who open up their land for a few months in the summer.
If we made wild camping legal here, there are too many disrespectful idiots who would just abuse it!

@@stepheno9805 No worries and thank you for your info!
I didn't think it was completely restricted but I see your point, we have some idiots here as well, but luckily they are not the majority. But here is always someone who has to drive where it's not legal to drive.
A farm camp or such can be as good as wild camping if the place is nice and you are with great people. 😊

Lovely video. Your daughters' command of English is amazing! But, why did your younger daughter suddenly appear with a bandage on her head? 🤕😆

Thank you and Thank you! 😊
I had a bit of think about the patch when I was editing cause I couldn’t remember. But after rewatching it we determined that it was some perimeter spray from the frying pan. 😊
She has the dramatic gene so the big patch fits perfectly to that end. 😂

Sorry, I didn’t add any English subtext so probably why there’s no French alternative for you on the Norwegian speaking section.
I didn’t have time to add it. 😊
