Oh thank You so much for the compliment about the video!👌🎶 I totally agree with You that the band and this song are absolutely fantastic! ❤️ I'm just not sure if these are the real meant lyrics 😅🤔
@@purplemoonlightthroughtheb3074 Yes the lyrics are had to catch exactly. I've seen other variants on the web, but the message comes through. The song gets a very honourable mention in a goth/darkwave/postpunk-infused vampire novel I'm writing, as it mysteriously blasts out over the speakers during (what else?) a fashion show!
@stephenspark776 during a fashion show? 😆 That sounds pretty scary but even more interesting! What kind of fashion show is it? Do the bats dance there on the ceiling like goths on the dance floor? 😅 Sorry just my imagination. I like drawing this comparison. How long is Your novel going to be? Are You going to publish? I'd love to read it. I love the idea of writing about a song, to me it feels like dreaming of a song, which happened to me. And I love the language of music. "what costumes shall the poor girl wear?! " from all tomorrows parties by velvet underground would be my song answer in Your described scenario. (th-cam.com/video/M88Ca91hTWs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IFU58JXvSru5Y2X-) While the guests of this fashion show enter the bat cave and dance... (th-cam.com/video/7zmZruWQZIM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=IjEkVzsTRE4YSIGn) .... Just my music thoughts to amplify your ideas with the energy of my dark soul 🤣🤣🎶
@@purplemoonlightthroughtheb3074 I love your engagement with my idea! The fashion show is one scene in a longer novel called, provisionally, 'Daciana's Revenge'. I should stress that it's a vampire-positive book. Daciana - the name means 'Wolf' in Romanian - is a glamorous but wayward vampire who comes over to England in 2025 to recover her family's wealth and property, which were stolen in 1890* by Lord Godalming and his companions - the motive that Bram Stoker somehow failed to mention in his whitewashed account of the vampire-destroying expedition in 'Dracula'. (* Stoker's book, published in 1897 said the events took place seven years earlier.) Daciana has a trio of human helpers: the reluctant and sceptical young journalist Ameena; Lucetta, the rebellious, sensitive, darkwave-loving daughter of the present-day Lord Godalming; and the enigmatic, laid-back 'Q', Trinidadian-American bass guitarist of Goth band Alraune. The present Lord Godalming hosts the fashion show at Godalming Park. The event brings together the present-day heirs to the Dracula family's stolen wealth, hence it's a prime target for Daciana to display her powers. The actual invasion of bats, which predictably causes chaos and panic among the over-privileged guests, is heralded by another great song from The Marchesa Casati, 'Bats'. 'Fashion Must Die' kind of rubs it in. I think the bats might permitted a little dance to that! This section hasn't been written in detail, but it offers plenty of scope to have some enjoyably malicious fun with Lord G's ghastly guests. So, wish me luck, but the plan is to get it finished in the next six months and published later next year. I'd really like to launch it at the Whitby Goth Weekend in early November 2025. If I have my way, all the songs and bands referenced in the book will be playing at the launch party!

This is an epic song by an amazing band. That beat, that voice - wow! And the video so suits its otherworldly, nightmarish vision.
