My Pajero is now 20 years old and the battery died. I could not find the card for the radio , but remembered the first three numbers 918 , thank for the assistance I can't believe you are the only Utube video on this issue and nothing elsewhere on the web and dealers dont want to tell you how to over come the issue. in my case I thought fourth number was 2 but ended up being 6 so took me two goes. these days nobody steals radios anymore and its a pain to enter a code every time the battery gets disconnected

You can find it on your owner’s manual
It’s on the card a size of a credit card (anti theft system written on it)
