    boils my piss when a manufacturer does not line up gauges . it’s not a hard job to do but it’s those finishing touches that make a rifle the detail is in the fit a finish in my books and generally it shows a pride in your product. spot on with the video all though i prefer the washer method myself . those crush washers can be problematic in my experience 👍

      The problem is that manufacturers have to also increase the prices if they do the details like that.
      It costs money and people are not willing to pay "extra"

      We do it on all our guns, i think it's just time and the added risk of leaks from the manufactures point of view

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  ปีที่แล้ว

      we normally use SS but it's not so important with sub 12 ,the hammer is not hitting the valve very hard but for HP stuff it should be hardened really

    So those "DIRTY WASHERS" are crush washers and Orings "put" together, These dirty washers are assembled from separate purchases ( washers/O rings), then hand fit/measure!?? Not sold as one unit !??

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      hi dowty washers are sold as one unit in different sizes you can use steel washers with o rings an FX m3 does this for it 1st reg gauge

      After two attempts, both gauges are in line. First I used two dowty washers on the bottle gauge and backed off the regulator gauge but this felt too loose. I sourced a thinner set of washers and the bottle gauge is now nice and tight using one washer and for the regulator I needed two to get it spot on.

    I don't understand why manufactures can't get this right from the beginning. They charge thousands of Euros/Pounds/Dollars but can't spend an additional fraction of a cent for the correctly sized gasket.
    Not even the self proclaimed Ferrari of air rifles can install gauges which are more accurate then the cheapest Chinese gauge clones. Thanks, FX 👎

    All that cash and daystate can't get the gage straight !!! You have to fxxking do all this just coz daystate are lazy 😂😮 !! Air arms always for me !❤ . won't tuch daystate

    • @paulblundell8033
      @paulblundell8033 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just for clarity it’s a BRK not a Daystate ( though they are in the same group ). Got to say I have seen non aligned gauges on lots of other brands ( including AirArms ). The manufacturers aim for less leaks and won’t want to have different size dowty washers or filed washers on production lines.
      I think next time I’m at the range I’m going to survey the PCP’s to look at gauge alignment by manufacturer.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most brands are like it not just Daystate or BRK i like AA but you are missing out IMO if you wont touch Daystate/BRK
