Oh man, that was astounding! An absolutely stellar band, and Emma's horns carry so much history and 'weight', though her musical voice is so distinct. It's as though she's assimilated a century of styles and made it her own, and the sophistication seems way behind her years. There's never any sense of technique for its own sake; everything she plays serves the tune. I'm blown away. Cheers!
