Hello again AC. Once more you have proven yourself to be incorruptible, particularly by the manufactured hype of today's unabashedly duplicitous fragrance community. Thank you for not selling out. 👍
Thank you for the lovely words and thank you for the support. These sort of videos would achieve very little on their own if people like you don't watch and comment on these.
You've touched on this subject on your 500 video anniversary a couple weeks ago. Suddenly the fragcom community had changed years ago and there was much "hype" around a creed perfume if I remember correctly? Thanks for your honest review. This may seem a little extreme to some (giving an honest review also night fall into that category these days), but I will search for reviews of this frag and block channels that are hyping it. Their "reviews" are meaningless to me
I did, its a subject very close to my heart. Winning someone's trust is easy but keeping it is very hard. In my view, there is absolutely no need to hype anything, just treat everything on its own merit. Doesn't have to be complicated.
Fellllaaas !! This is what a true connoisseur will do ! He reacts rightly if it’s good he says so but if it’s a dud he will put his neck out and challenge Proud of you AC🥂
Me too I don't get the hype. It's like you say, it's strong... ok, but no development. IMO Boss Bottled Elixir is so much more interesting. Strong too but with a story to tell
AC I tried it this morning and its about -6 in Toronto, I was confused, almost in denial, with all the hype...first thought that came to me "what would AC say?" 😂This only reinforces the whole influencer trend, getting free bottles and hyping scents up, on online discounters this is 'sold out', so its working, sadly. I also tried it because I love Myrrh. For next time, would you consider adding to your reviews scents we should sample if we like this note breakdown? cause thats the only reason I tried this one. On that note (pun intended!), what Myrrh based frags do you recommend to others? Boss releases have become something like the Fast and Furious franchise...focus on sequels not the story.
Haha that fast and furious analogy is spot on. The Myrrhs I like are Shalimar as Oppoponax, Dior Fahrenheit Absolu (discontinued), Dior Sauvage Parfum 2012, and , Guerlain Bois Mysterieoux are the nice ones I have tried. ALso Jo Malone Myrrh & Tonka.
thats my scent of the day.. reminds me bit of costume national homme and mugler pure malt..yeap it's linear just like you said..lasts quite long on my skin and project well but definetly not a mass pleasing scent at all..
@ACSmellsGood I think people that only worry about strength Miss out on some good fragrances. I want to learn how to decant. So I can carry my fragrances with me. I love the work that you do🙌
Hahah do test it out and see if it works on your skin Manbir. I am yet to try Boss Bottled Elixir. I always approach Boss Bottled fragrances with a caution because they release 1 every year and after that year passes no one seems to remember or discuss that fragrance.
Finally the truth - an opinion. At the moment all reviewers are hyping this up. The expensive prize is not justified. I recently wrote 1 reviewer - who mentioned to be more honest - that I do not believe him anymore. Ok, different tastes, different noses and different opinion. This fragrance - which is not worth its prize - is too much hyped. I liked this review 👍
He is so right I have this fragrance and I try it out, tested, but after I bought it’s boring and doesn’t have any particular development or cutting from top to bottom
Glad you enjoyed the review. Here is my honest take on hyping something. Its ultimately my subscribers whose money gets wasted If I hype something unnecessarily. I will feel really bad if that happened, specially in these hard times when everything is so expensive!
Can you recommend a few good Middle Eastern fragrances that would be a good and/or superior alternative to this one? I quite enjoy this scent and I would be interested in exploring this DNA further. Many thanks. Big fan of your reviews!
Yeah sure, the ones that spring to mind are Maison Alhambra Toscano Leather, Lattafa Velvet Oud, Afnan Rare Carbon. They maynot be very similar but they will give you that awesome Leather that this fragrance is trying to do but failing.
Another one I forgot to mention is Safari Extreme by Abdul Samad Al Qureshi , this omne is ultimate Leather and Saffron. I have reviewed this and its probably 20% more expensive than the Hugo Boss, but it is an ultimate fragrance. I think I almost gave it a 10/10!
Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I found it a great release from a designer house taking inspirations from Carlisle, Tony Iommi Xerjoff etc. Even the exorbitant frags like Ombre Nomad have their cheap middle eastern clones but nobody criticizes Ombre Nomad comparing it to a cheap middle eastern frag. So hate on a designer frag just because it smells middle eastern is kinda odd.
@FragranceGuru , this is the channel which popularized many of the inexpensive middle eastern fragrances, eg: Oud al Layl (exclusive review,). ARMAF Legacy (Exclusive Review), ARMAF Tres Nuit, Rasasi Al Wisam Day and many many many more. Inexpensive but good middle eastern fragrances have always been treated with utmost respect in this channel.
First lets get the basics straightened out. Criticism is not hate. Secondly, if you like something, then you like it, someone criticizing it shouldn't bother you. Thirdly, Siddharth thanks a lot for sticking up for me buddy, appreciate that :).
You’re absolutely correct, he got this very wrong and that’s why I will unsubscribe from his channel his criticism makes no sense to me I have tried this fragrance and it’s absolutely fantastic and lasts forever on my skin.
It's too generic! It's a copy of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather if you haven't smelled that. Leather accords are spectacular, but this fragrance is quite linear with no development. It only has very few applications. Not an office fragrance.

Glad you all appreciate these sort of reviews as well.
I was waiting for this AC..🙏
Glad you enjoyed Pranay :).
Me too I don't get the hype. It's like you say, it's strong... ok, but no development. IMO Boss Bottled Elixir is so much more interesting. Strong too but with a story to tell
Thank you.. I will see if I can get the sample of the Elixir.
This smells similar to CH Mystery Tobacco. I think it's very nice!
Uno de los mejores lanzamientos de diseñador del 2024

@@halwamonster haha yes, Ambre Sultan should have been there. I need to review that one soon.
Thanks for saving me some $$$, AC! I was very suspicious of the hype...
hahah no problems, glad I could help.
I'll have to try this out and see if it's the same for me.

I very much appreciate and respect the honesty. Nowadays, I think people are happy with just strong and not much else.
Thank you and yeah, you are 100% right. Performance is everything.

Much prefer the Elixir. Absolu smells like poo on my skin. 💩
Its Absolu or Absolute!
Absolu because of notes and bottle
two failure in a row
A sir please review dior sauvage eau forte ( you will love it) and boss exlir as compared to this
We are all tired of all that leather patchouly bomb! at least, i am tired of this genre!
I bought a 200ml to start and a backup bottle just in case!

Too Similar to Sauvage Elixir...
