I am so thankful for Experiencing God. It taught me how to hear the voice of God. I am going through it right now again, for the third time. I look forward to meeting Mr. Blackaby in heaven.
This great man and servant of Christ is now expirencing God face to face. I had the privilege of having an intense all day session with him some years ago at Dr. Tony Evans church leadership development conference. It was a blessing I will always cherish.
I've cried through the entire service....we studied Experiencing God with our ministry staff team and it was revolutionary. The clarity and depth of conviction it brought to us!
Thank you for posting this so all of us can celebrate the extraordinary and inspiring life of Henry Blackaby! A huge blessing that you incorporated his preaching into his funeral-- thank you! An absolute joy to see his legacy carried down to his grandchildren, as they shared testimonies. The "garbage can" story is priceless. And I'm grateful to see Richard doing the same. After hearing him speak at the Cove, I've noted he also makes himself available to every attendee who waits in a long line for his time and attention. Truly, the mark of a humble man and a servant leader.
Dr Henry Blackeby, has been an inspiration to me through his book Experiencing God. My spiritual mentor. Will miss you all the way from the Pacific Island Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬💔🙏😭
Experiencing God changed my life as a believer and gave me the necessary push to understanding the pillars of grace AND truth, in whom is Jesus Christ (John 1:14-17). The Lord used Experiencing God to transform me from shallow religiosity and legalism to a deep relationship with Jesus Christ. To the Blackaby family: your precious Henry has left behind a legacy for the Kingdom of God that will withstand for eternity. I am evidence of that. We will continue to pray for the rest of the Blackaby family carrying the torch for Christ's kingdom and in discipling believers to the magnificent depths of experiencing God truly and fully!
I'm currently going through Experiencing God for the 3rd time since I first picked up the workbook in 2015. I didn't realize how much of a spiritual father Henry Blackaby was until hearing of his passing and watching his memorial service. I'm surprised at my own response of grief now that I recognize his impact on my life. I didn't have the discipling voice of a godly father in my life, now I know that was Henry Blackaby. I cried so many tears and there's a part of me that really wish I could have been there to honor his life. I'm serving the Lord on the mission field in Japan because of his book and his life challenging teaching of the scriptures. I always tell my friends that Experiencing God is the only bible study I'll need for the rest of my life. It's true. I pray God will shape me into a dedicated servant of God as he did Mr. Blackaby. What an appropriate send off, glorifying God to the very end.
we PREMIERED the Experiencing God Musical at Ridgecrest Baptist Conference Center when it came out when I was the Music Minister at First Baptist Jonesboro, GA - what a blessing - only negative - we had 2 motor coaches full of choir members and OURs broke down on the return trip - so we sat on the side of the road and finally pulled into the church parking lot at 7 am -

Now listening to the private life of the man brought such admiration. What else does a man desire out of this life....what heritage!
Which ministry is this? I'm glad to know we're many whom God mentored and guided in truth thru pastor Henry's Experiencing God discipleship manual

He has a lot to show the Lord for the extremely blessed and effective life he loved.

May my spiritual dad, who mentored me through 'Experiencing God' rest in peace; I'm just numb, but we'll meet in heaven
