I have installed for over 33 years. At first I was unsure of the installation process. On my first install it took a bit to get used to working with a new product. In the last two or so years I have installed several jobs of Airo.
It is a great product for the installer. Seams are easier to construct. No scratching the baseboard or wool rails on staircases. Installers can move furniture from side to side.

Air.o performs great! Thank you Mohawk, the customers and installers all love it. Best way to re-floor your basement especially if you have 9x9 asbestos tiles, you can go right over top without disturbing the asbestos.

Consumers in general don't care about ease of installation. Limited colors and styles for this product. It still takes a professional installation.

Since Air.o is a relatively new product, there is a small variety of colors and styles at the moment. We're sure that Mohawk will introduce new options in the future. While we do agree that a professional installation will get you the best performance and install, it is possible for a DIY enthusiast that has some sort of flooring knowledge or experience to install this product themselves.

I'm installing 120 yards of this product tomorrow, I'll let you know what I think. I'm the only one that went to the seminar at our store lol. Couple things bother me already. 1 we have mostly concrete floors here in AZ and most customers don't want exposed metals. 2 the pad only comes in one thickness. 3 it will be time consuming pulling all the tack strip up. What about overspray from paint on the floor. That will need to be scrapped up?

My installers hate it, had to pull it out of my store. This product does not seam very well and I have had customer move their furniture and it ruins the carpet. I had to give out 100% refunds, nothing but a nightmare.

Your installers didn't use the Mohawk adhesive that is required for warranty, right

@@1lapmagic No, that is not correct. We ordered the double sided tap that Mohawk sells specifically for this product. The installers also attended a special Mohawk training for this product too, during this training, they were instructed to install with the special double sided tape. We even had the Mohawk rep to the customers house, he could not get it to seam either.

Seems like it's Mohawks alternative to piss poor installers that don't or won't powerstretch. So when the dog pees on the carpet on a wood sub-floor you can't subsurface so you you replace the area of pad, clean the backing and carpet. AirO seems like this is going to be a problem. Wonder how cat pee along baseboards will effect tape? Then, how do you do a decent repair? Can you do an almost invisible patch on this?

Or you could just not have animals pissing all over your house? Sounds like a you problem
