For someone like myself who never got to see them live. I don’t as born in ‘82, wasn’t hip enough to like Drive Like Jehu at 12 or 13 or whatever. But they’ve been an absolute touchstone band for me. I’ve been in many independent bands over the years and have often found myself referencing them as an ideal band. I wouldn’t want to emulate anyone, but I certainly have a penchant for liberal use of feedback and dissonance. My most recent band played a show in Philly earlier this year and I had at least 10 people comment on my shirt. Most underground shows, a lot of people are too hip to acknowledge something like that…but not Drive Like Jehu. It’s like if I meet someone who references them, it’s like instantly I recognize that person has good taste.

20:34 "This song sounds like Xanadu from Rush" It does. Jehu had great taste. And, a few years later, you could have transposed Do You Compute onto Unwound's Leaves Turn Inside You. How awesome?
Rest easy Rick, thank you for the music, and see you on the other side brother.
R.I.P. Rick Froberg
Im up front, bobbing my head up and down with glasses. I saw this tour about 4-5 shows. So good. One of the best.
Was at this show. Best thing I ever saw, before or since.

Wonder why they had such an aversion to adding it to their set lists back then when now it's one of their signature songs
Luau is incredible
