For my birthday this year, I wanted to take my parents on a trip to Europe. This was such an overdue family trip and we had such a great time together. Low key I’m very pooped from traveling around for the past couple of months so this might be my last trip for the rest of the year 💦 This video was a labor of love so I hope you all enjoy ♥️

I can relate to this so much! My parents fled Vietnam after the war and risked their lives leaving on a small boat crossing the ocean. Because of what they risked and gave up, my sisters and I have a fairly privileged life. To this day my parents can’t accept gifts from their own children and are frugal. As second generation children of immigrants I think we are always aware of what our parents have sacrificed and worked so hard for, so it is always so fulfilling to give them something in return ❤

Lol I swear I was hearing Vietnamese, then I heard Cantonese or Mandarin. Ahahha, I wasn't hearing things, thank goodness! I love it when I hear people speak more than one language, it is so fun! I'm always impressed when I talk about my parents knowing 4 languages! It's so impressive, but it was allll for survival!

I’m so happy you were able to take your parents on a trip, as a thank you gift for everything. Definitely can relate to it : my parents left DRC 27 years ago as students, settled again in Europe but put their life on hold to raise us in better conditions than what was promised back home.. Can’t wait to take my dad to Japan (one of his bucket list countries ) 😊😊

Truly looks like a family trip of a lifetime - Don't wait another 11 years. Maybe try a girls trip somewhere. My mom, daughter and I are from Atlanta. We went to NYC one year, San Francisco one year and Madrid one year. Very thankful for that time together because my sweet mom is no longer here to share them with us. My favorite part of this video was seeing how much your parents are still in love!
