  • This is my dream agency I hope to join them in a couple more years . I tried my best with this tribute , I hope you guys like it .

    its unfortunate that FHP is one of the lowest paying LEAs in the country

    I was a Florida State Trooper for several years before I went to law school. FHP still pays quite poorly! If you can get on the Orlando Police, they have better pay and their pension is way better than those of the State of Florida.

      FHP is now very competitive with all Florida agencies and the base pay for FHP Troopers is going up again, soon to be 55K base pay a year.

    I have the utmost respect for FHP but, they gotta ditch the brown uniforms, they look horrible. Next, lets tackle their low pay. FRS has actually gotten very competitive with the rest of the country but you gotta get the pay scales up there to attract good candidates!

    D.A. KING, assigned to the Tampa area stopped me for speeding. Yes I was wrong. However, after identifying myself in his exact words "I don't give a damn who you work for" and wrote me 3 citations.
    FHP can KMA. More had attitudes
