this makes me want to get an SGI indy just for the funsies of running NetBSD on these 64 Bit mips machines. the possibility of running my web and classicube server on these machines look appealing. i already use a PPC mac for one of my servers and it's amazing. so i want to experiment on different UNIX hardware and see what kind of crap these companies pulled off back then. another contender is an early IBM AiX machine but those cost a fortune unfortunately.
Glad you are able to keep these stars running.
I knew it was the monitor as soon as I saw it. Glad you figured it out
That is one of those "wouldn't believe it if I hadn't just watched it" type diagnoses.
Time for a new monitor , the mini me has gotta go . Congrats on finally getting to the root of the issue!!

I miss the Weatherstar XL v3 thanks for working hard on this unit
I can’t believe this!
Because many SGI systems relied on “Sync-On-Green” which many monitors are not capable of.
Yeah I'm not an SGI guy at all. I'm only figuring all of this out for the first time
lol wow!
I didn't know you had a IS2 Jr.
