Only Allah can forgive us for the sins we commit against ourselves and we should have hope in his Mercy for that. But sexual sins are sins against society and against family of the female. Allah is the most merciful but he is also just between his servants. So any sin you commit against your family is going to be recompensed. We cannot use Allah's mercy to wash away judgement against what we have done to his servants.

Do you tell your boys that if they do look at a woman and find her attractive that this is a sin and you should only get married to have babies to a prearranged woman who has been selected by the fathers of the daughter? Do you teach them to find love by being approached by women’s fathers so they can make the decision for their daughter if they should get to know you? Do you teach them that they are not allowed to shake hands with a woman even if she wants to? When I have traveled in Middle Eastern countries, I found the men to be the most impolite and rude, looking at myself and other women with me (we were Americans, modestly dressed, quietly shopping) in a "sexually objectified way"; there was no western system here, this was deep in their own countries....rural Iraq, rural Turkey. You could feel their lustful gazes, it was highly uncomfortable. I'm aware not all Muslim men are like this, but a vast number of them were NOT as well mannered as this speaker suggests.

I used to live in Saudi Arabia on an international compound. From time to time, local Saudi contractors would come on to the compound to do work like trash collection, maintenance, etc. One time, a group of workers were replacing a roof on a house next to the compound’s pool area. The workers would stare and leer at the girls in bikinis. They literally could not get work done and sat on the edge of the roof just staring for an hour. I was on a shuttle bus going to the souks, when it was stopped and boarded by the Mutawa religious police, who then slapped around a couple of women in front of their husbands. I have many stories like this. All that is to say that if you find what this man said inspirational or his culture is somehow aspirational, then I feel bad for the women around you. It is a sexually repressed culture. It’s oppressive and dangerous to women.

Only Allah can forgive us for the sins we commit against ourselves and we should have hope in his Mercy for that. But sexual sins are sins against society and against family of the female. Allah is the most merciful but he is also just between his servants. So any sin you commit against your family is going to be recompensed. We cannot use Allah's mercy to wash away judgement against what we have done to his servants.

As men need to ask permission to marry someone else from their first wife or any previous wife before doing so and if they didn't the marriage is considered as haram and invalid and is a sin to do so. I grew up in an area with many Muslim families and went to a girls school and have kept those friendships my entire life, 25 plus years and the men in their families are some of the most humble, decent and respectful men that I have ever met and they treat my girlfriends like goddesses. When I have traveled in Middle Eastern countries, I found the men to be the most impolite and rude, looking at myself and other women with me (we were Americans, modestly dressed, quietly shopping) in a "sexually objectified way"; there was no western system here, this was deep in their own countries....rural Iraq, rural Turkey. You could feel their lustful gazes, it was highly uncomfortable. I'm aware not all Muslim men are like this, but a vast number of them were NOT as well mannered as this speaker suggests.

I used to live in Saudi Arabia on an international compound. From time to time, local Saudi contractors would come on to the compound to do work like trash collection, maintenance, etc. One time, a group of workers were replacing a roof on a house next to the compound’s pool area. The workers would stare and leer at the girls in bikinis. They literally could not get work done and sat on the edge of the roof just staring for an hour.
I was on a shuttle bus going to the souks, when it was stopped and boarded by the Mutawa religious police, who then slapped around a couple of women in front of their husbands.
I have many stories like this.

As a Christian man, women are entitled to do as they like within the law, and men should respect that. Slightly different from a Muslim, as women have rights in Christianity.

Sorry, but this isn’t only a male thing. I’d teach my daughter to cover up as well, I won’t make her wear a hijab (since it doesn’t explicitly say that in the Quran) but I’d make her dress appropriately. Not like the western society where woman can wear next to nothing which makes men objectify her whether she likes it or not. While it’s harder if she at least wear long pants or a long skirt
