Gospel singer Kirk Frankin dancing during Tye Tribbett’s set at one stop on last year’s nearly sold-out The Reunion Tour. The two chart-toppers were joined onstage by fellow Gospel artists Israel Houghton, David and Tamela Mann, and the premier female gospel collectives in the world, the Clark Sisters. Also, I'm against the cult of personality & the promotion of self. I have no desire to "make a name" for myself. That's odd in this day & time I know, because most strive for this. Too many folks make themselves the center of attention instead of helping others first & allowing the information they share be the focus of folks attention. The church has turned a blind eye to many of the well known like…Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, TD, Juanita Bynum, John Gray, etc
Let’s not forget Kirk Franklin was on the BET Hip Hop awards in a cypher saying “the lion and lamb will bow down to the goat”. And doubled down on Twitter after folks called him out. He’s shown his true alliance. It’s up for us to believe him or not.
My cousin used to act out all the time when he was younger. His mother was taking him to therapists and trying to find a label for his behavior. And one day another cousin just said, “ain’t nothing wrong with him, he just gay”.

I can recall an interview Kirk gave, where he spoke about his addictions and his history. So, this doesn't surprise me. I don't put anything past anyone, never have.

When you said “Kirk Franklin is obviously a gay man” I HOLLERED 😂😂😂 Then you brought up Todd Chrisley and I just couldn’t stop laughing 😭😭😭 I remember when Kirk had issues with is son Kerrion publicly… it was weird, condescending and dismissive of him to his son. I definitely see an ego there.

I feel he's addicted to fame and attention. It may be rooted in insecurities surrounding his upbringing and recently finding out who his biological father is. He needs to take time (away from the spotlight) to confront those issues and REALLY heal 🙏🏾

His behavior over the years has been…questionable. Kirk reminds me of the people that would go on the Apollo and when the “audience” wasn’t feeling their performance (before Sandman would appear), they would sing a gospel song.

Will you please give your views on TPH and the pay discrepancy? I have sooooo many questions and thoughts. Was Monique right (considering lady O)? If so, how does it compare or differ? Why so vocal about this particular film? Is this the same treatment for ALL black actors/actresses? Do they expect bigger pay from those that share the same complexion? I would love to hear your thoughts on this? I’m not disagreeing about the pay because this has been going on for YEARS and not just in entertainment.
There’s something very sad about Kirk Franklin. I wouldn’t be surprised if he has addiction issues. I heard him speak about his childhood and rejection from his parents.

This is the same man who admitted to once having a severe porn addiction and his wife threatened to leave him till he had to recover. Plus I would never forget his smile music video where he wore gloss on his lips.

Shame on the Clark Sisters for mixing with someone like Kirk Franklin. Kirk needs compassion, prayer and clinical help; he doesn't need his antics facilitated.
There is a lot to unpack with Kirk Franklin. He took a very bad fall in the '90's while on stage. He fell into a 10-foot orchestra pit and suffered serious head trauma. He could be suffering from many things. I'm inclined to say even if it is drugs, it has resulted from a reprobate mind after years of going his own way. If you look at Kirk's recent Shannon Sharpe interview, he was definitely sending Shannon signals about his sexuality. In my opinion, his behavior was that of someone that was flirting...

Kirk has a desperate need for attention. I do believe he is a functional addict but I also believe his lack of judgement sometimes is due to his continuous need for attention. I don't agree that he's gay but he has some issues that need to be addressed.

Kirk Franklin had a traumatic brain injury 30 years ago which causes personality changes, including inappropriate behavior, cognitive decline, & dementia. 1991 I had a traumatic brain injury and his was in 1992. I see a lot of myself in him for the past several years. I don’t have a spouse or a team around me keeping me in check as much as possible like he does. To piggyback off of the comments in the video, more than one thing can be true. Therefore, he can also be on drugs resulting from that fall and chronic pain management.

I’ve always felt Kirk had the glow and I’m not surprised at all. On another note, I lived in the DFW and it was a nice experience. I made some wonderful friends there so that area will always have a special place in my heart

Is someone an addict because of substance misuse or toxic learned behavior…or both? Can someone be addicted to egoistical events? I ask because we now observe that there is addiction to digital engagements that release enormous amounts of dopamine and sometimes adrenaline. Can there be a desperate need to return to that natural high?
He’s a gifted songwriter and needs to *walk worthy of the call* as Paul said. Just because you have made it to fame doesn’t mean you can do Whatever you want and still be accepted by Real Christians. If he doesn’t stop devaluing his call, trouble is coming his way. Personally, I didn’t like him backing up on her, like he was in a club or something, one bit. That’s especially confusing to babes in Christ. In my opinion, he knew exactly what he was doing and didn’t care. SMH

I love KF and his music. I guess I look at him as a survivor. We are all striving to be better. We just see his struggle.
It’s got to be a stand it between Christians in the world it’s got to be a stand. It certain things people will God I’m not going to do you cannot cater to the world and do the same things , all of us have bad habits that we have to be transformed in the renewal of my mind on a daily basis, is it process it doesn’t come overnight as a lifetime we have to be different.
